I will second that. Jude is so hot right now.

And as we all saw in the marketing campaign before the start of the season, he can laugh at himself -- "I promise not to visit the solarium..."

    What's not to like?

And you can't find nothing at all,
If there was nothing there all along.

If you think that we need 22 more effective players than Jude Bolton in the team to have a chance of winning a premiership, then I guarantee the Swans will never win one.

If what you're trying to say is that we won't win one while he (at current levels - I think there is scope for further improvement) is in our best two or three players, then maybe you're starting to make sense.

i think you're completely confused liz. what wil is saying is that he's not good enough to win the whole damn thing on his own. we've lost faith in barry hall being the single recruit that was going to gain us a trophy and goodes appears to be less than superhuman.
now jude has passed his brief (i missed it for one) populist zenith to become the fallen messiah of the SMFC. others have already chosen a new rising saint that will sweep away all the false prophets that have come before him : in the lean form of luke vogels. there is of course always the undying faith of the irish that believe tadgh will lead us to the promised land. personally i still believe if they move nick davis into the midfield he will remain untouched by the heathen and gain enough possessions (although as a saint he should eschew possessions of all kinds) to kick us all into the kingdom of heaven. i can see it now

        john - 3:14 (32) (two posters)
        davis - 9:3 (57) (4 outside fifties)

        time for bed.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Yes. Because it would make far more sense to rely on a whole team. That includes all of those players you mentioned all playing well together.

I didn't think it was that hard to understand - simply Wil's view is that if J Bolton is our premier midfielder, we will struggle to win a premiership.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Did you really put your faith in Baz to win the whole thing on his own? Players can turn games/finals/Grand Finals by themselves but not win a whole season on their own shoulders. You always need a team. No one player will take us all the way.

                WILLO is our premier midfielder.

Ahhhh, then my apologies Fish. But you must see why I felt compelled to say something. Had I known you were talking out your arse, I would have left it.

There are different types of midfielders with an ageing Willo we need a replacement of a similar type, Jude is not that type, he is hard at it and can win the ball he is not a linebreaking runner.

Kelly, some may remember, was not the greatest disposer early in his career. He was made Captain for his effort more than anything else.

Jude has surprised me, with the team a bit flat at times, he has really stood up and is in great form.

I read "I am not convinced he is good enough to get us to a Premiership" as being the same as that. He doesn't seem stupid enough to think that it is all up to one person, which you assumed he meant.

I note though that you also guessed what he meant.
