I think you're correct, while Crouch knows all of Milne's tricks and negates them brilliantly he'll be needed in the midfield. Bevan lacks a little in the soubtlety department so I'd be nercous of using him on a trickster like Milne. Perhaps Nicks will play on him and then maybe Roos will tell Bevan to go savage Aussie Jones?

Yep - good call - I think Nicks on Milne and Bevan on Jones would be very good matchups. You need someone who is willing to play defence and is tough on Jones just to take him out of the game. I think Bevan has the background to do that. Taking Jones out of the play is a critical factor in stopping the Saints' run.

As a forward, Saddo should have a lot more possessions than a defender. If Saddo is going the punch, then he's not going well at all. NNWBloods has never quite grasped this concept.

But he did muck up a few gimme's (dropped chest marks, kicked badly) so he's down on form. I would have expected him to stay, but not shocked that he was dropped.

There is no way they could have dropped LRT after last weeks game, irrespective of previous form. It was never going to happen no matter how much you wish for it.

He is nowhere near as crash hot as you crank him up to be. I would much prefer to see Saddo in the team. This game is so bloody vital to our season, and we dont need someone still learning the ropes to be our plan B on Nick Riewoldt. He did ok last week, but Saddo would seem a much better option for us. LRT may make a better fottballer in 5 years time than Saddo, but he just isnt ready to last a whole game against the Aints.

Hopefully he can use his time to develop some more confidence and form in the reserves (he should have had a game in there before playing in the firsts anyway).

Certainly I wouldn't want him standing Riewolt in his current state.

On the other hand I think maybe MCveigh may finally be beginning to establish himself in the firsts, very early days and about time but he seemed readier to demand the ball last week.
