LRT did a sterling job under enormous pressure. His spoiling and hassling was very good on Riewolt. Well I guess there are people on here that don't appreciate some of the finer points of the game.
I do understand that when he has the ball under pressure he can neither handball nor kick adequately, what finer points does your superior knowledge tell you about that.

Yes he did struggle and try all night, but this is professional sport and he is quite simply not up to it.

And LRT won a lot of one on one contests against Riewolt.

          LRT

Get off LRT's back.He did a good job last night on one of the best players in the comp.Much as I love Schaubs he wouldn't have kept up with Reiwoldt. As for Leo, the poor bugger has had to play on gorillas week in, week out. Perhaps that will stop as Schaube gets back into the team How dare anyone criticise Goodsy on his game last night! Learn something about the game.

LRT did a good job against Riewoldt. With the amount of ball the Saints midfield had and the way we kept turning it over, I felt very sory for our defenders last night.

The reason Gehrig got away from Leo a few times was coz he was trying to cover LRT as well. Riewoldt, 60 % fit was far too fast for LRT. The snap He got in the last qtr, when Leo almost marked it, he just stood there and watched until Riewoldt ran off with the ball, and then it was too late.

LRT = Crap. He (and the umps) was why I was a bit hoarse this morning.

                You seriously have no idea.

Of couse it was LRT's fault Leo had a bad game. It was LRTs fault that Milne got his goals too. Not to mention the saint kilda midfield dominating. I bet if we drop LRT, we'll suddenly be premiership favourites.

No LRT and Leo and noything to do with Milne!!!! he is just a dynamo, and on his nite no one will stop him.

I also said a few times, never mentioned Leo having a bad game, I said a few times!!

Gehrig jostled LRT, LRT jostles back, Leo moves in to help Reiwoldt just watches, Gehrig sneaks away and it is too late for Leo to catch him.

I also made no mention of the Midfield, where did that part of the argument come from, I thought this was about LRT.

siriusly barry, read the post, son.

I think that after a promising start to his career, LRT has gone backwards this year. I can't accept that CHB is a position where you can afford to have a learner driver. That said, what I have liked about him is his second and third efforts (usually after he has stuffed up). He deserves a chance, but not in this crucial area...if he were in a Vic/SA/WA team, then Id say put him back for a year in the State lleague in that position, to learn the backman's craft! Unfortunately in a fifth rate competition like the ACTAFL that wouldn't be any good for him...so, what is the logical option...apart from delisting him altogether!!!
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

If you look at Nick Riewoldt's stats for the year (discounting the Lions when he went off injured) the game on the weekend doesn't look out of place. Add to that the worst umpiring I've witnessed all year the defenders night out doesn't look too bad.

I'm not sure where I sit in the LRT debate.
His disposals can be a worry but there were worse offenders on Saturday night.
The guys looks goofy (a late bloomer if there ever was one) and use to play rugby. I reckon that's why he cops so much. He's definitely no star at this stage but calling for delisting is just plain stupid. The question is where will he best develop.

As for our backline strategy for the Saints....Crouch on Milne, Bolton on Riewoldt, Schauble on G-Hulk and Leo loose man. Unfortunately, without Crouch in the centre we would have seen even less ball...

I thought LRT's game was 40/60 - 40% pleasing things, quite surprising really (like solid marks and good contesting), andf 60% things that again make you think he will never be a fine footballer. On that assessment, given he was playing on a star, I would perservere with the LRT project for now. But like others, I can't understand why a guy with LRT's inexperience is being played at CHB. That's not the place to do a project / experiment.

                                He reminds me of Lurch.

Reiwoldt (who is struggling with injury and was hobbling slightly late in the game as well as dry reaching right in front of me) must have thought his tatts numbers had come up, when LRT picked him up.
