I honestly think that at LEAST 4 guys need to be dropped this week.

I don't care if we don't have 4 ready in the reserves - heads must roll and at least 1 big one too.

I nominate ROK as the big name - he is just going at the moment. A wake up call will do him and the team a lot of good.

If Malceski is fit - put him in, Moore should come back in - at least he disposes of the ball well.

Also, I am sick to death of the bloody rotations off the bench! We have the most in the league - doesn't seem to be working. I saw Kirk on the bench standing around waiting to come back on with 5 minutes to go - explain that to me!?!?

      I have to agree.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

IIRC St Kilda had more interchanges than Sydney last night. I remeber seeing the stats in the last quater and thinking it was strange with the Swans record of use/abuse of the bench.

        I'm all for it BTW

Habitual coaching is the only explanation.

            Indeed.

So I can take it that he is no longer your favourite player?

Nah he's still my favourite, but i can tell he's definately not everyone's favourite on this site

Sorry , Jeffers , I can't let this one go.

                Please explain the dichotomy of

(1)Buchanan being your favourite player but
                (2)not being good enough ?

                Thank you

You missed a lovely night on the Central Coast last night.

I learnt my lessons from trips to Melbourne in the past. When you follow the Swans, watch them play a team that they SHOULD beat but then expect them to still lose. I'm down for Rd 22. Expecting a loss. The Saints - Lions game should be good though.

I don't think any of them would be able to write essays.

                      My impressions:

GOODES: Was ok in patches. Was the highest possession getter on the field for the swans and had the most clearances for us so was good.
J BOLTON: Was prob our best on ground pitty others cant follow his lead and go harder at the ball.
                      KIRK: Reasonably good.
BUCHANON: Got alot of the ball for not much. Really need him as a small forward kicking goals or schnider.
BARRY: Struggled to keep up with gehrig mayb captain pressure is to much.
CROUCH: Prob his best game of the year. Certainly getting back to for. His goal was a team lifter.
HALL: Was abit disorientated! Kicked goals though so was ok in that factor.
O'KEEFE: Prob didnt do enough. Got alot of possys in defence early. Really needed him up forward kicking goals.
KENELLY: Was abit down. 4 clangers amd 4 frees against.
ABLETT: Improving every week! Did some good things.
                      MCVEIGH: More confidence good signs.
MOL: Our one lime light up forward.
C BOLTON: Not a good nite for him.
NICKS: Almost time to give it away i think. Is to up and down.
SCHNIDER: Little impact. Needs to kick more goals as does buchanon.
BALL: First game back didnt have a blinder. Should be better next week.
                      MATHEWS: ok
LRT: Was good early cant do much when they deliver the ball so well to riewoldt.
BEVAN: Low in confidence needs a confidence boost in the 2s.
                      JOLLY: No impact.
                      SADDO: POOR
VOGELS: Little game time. Didnt do much.

Ok, let's stop these pointless individual nit-picks.

                        Bottom line=
                        The whole team sucked.
They sucked harder than any game in recent memory.

We are not playing as a team.

Most sides would kill to have the talent that we have littered throughout our forward line. But our inability to penetrate thru half-forward is enough to make me wanna vomit blood.

Our backline is consistently good. But you'll never win a flag from full back.

And this persistent over use of the ball in tight quarters MUST ****ING STOP NOW!!!!!!

                        GOD DAMMIT TO HELL!!

I'd note he had 15 possessions and 7 marks too (LRT 8 and 3).
                          [B]

All of them I'd guess were soft non-contested kicks/marks sideways.

                          [B]

Not to say he played well or anything - just correcting some errors.

He had a shocker. backing up from an ordinary performace the week before. No point trying to deflect attention onto LRT.

Should have had Schauble in the team on Gehrig!!

No - massively undersized on the people he is asked to play on.

Some were and some were running out of defence. Of course when he got to the 50m arc there was rarely anyone to kick it to. Still, his disposal was very ordinary too.

No. We should have had LRT, Schauble and Leo. But instead we played Ball (underdone) and Vogels (useless).
You must have been thinking of the LRT or Schuable debate.

I forgot I added that as an afterthought - only because you were saying at least LRT marked and had some possessions, but they were less than Barry's.

I lose track of all these debates. At least it's a distraction from thinking about how bad we are.

Vogels had only 47 min game time and was in the forward line where the ball probably went in not much than half a dozen or so times. Unlikely he was going to do much with that.
