Yeah I certainly think we played through the corridor a lot more yesterday and if you look at Mickey O's 4 goals, they all came from relatively easy scoring shots. Scoring goals and not behinds is what mattered the most

We were more accurate partly because we played in the corridor rather than on the flanks and there was less pressure.

I liked the passion [some would say desperation?] and the intensity they played at for most of the match. Plus, it was great to see some skillful break outs from Kennelly and Craig Bolton -- four bounces! Gold, Craig! I think they backed their ability, stepped up and had a crack. Attacking footy -- I like it. It was a much classier game to watch, and was well received. I cannot remember the last time I spoke to my TV that much

          Precisely.

Kicking directly in front rather than deep in the pockets makes a massive difference. So do plain, simple, long kicks to Hall and O'Loughlin.

Because we played the worst side we were allowed to play more down the corridor.

And if we kicked inaacurately yesterday we probably would have lost. We also got a lot more shots from inside 50, even 30, which does assist accuracy.

We only played Carlton for goodness sake. Lets not get too far ahead of ourselves.

Exactly - less pressure meant that we were able to move it into the centre more easily.

Sure we played Carlton who are lurking at the bottom of the
table, but we appeared to be playing with more purpose and
direction than in previous games and put the score on the
board. This win could be the confidence booster to a good
                  run into the finals.

Ermmmm....of our first 4 shots against St Kilda, we kicked 3.1. That was our score at half time. I fail to see how kicking 4.0 at half time would have seen the game pan out differently...

I know he has always done it to an extent, but MOL has been leading very very wide to the pockets this year.

He seems happier to shoot from 35/40 on an impossible angle than 45/50 in front. He has no confidence in his kicking distance

You weren't paying $600, sitting in the rain, lugging flags & banners around the place, and getting abused and heckled by cocky bandwagon ferals who were never to be seen this time last year.

The losses at Subi are the ones I find I feel the keenest of all. Because I think of the expense of going all that way. and question why I do this to myself.

I think this has been said about every win so far.
