Mick has had some terrific moments in the last month but his shocking moments haven't been scrutinised at all. I am not sure why but I personally think he can lift his game within the boundaries of his injuries.
Most of it is Mick's decision making with ball in hand too. I reckon he's inadvertently creaming about 2 to 3 goals a game with crazy decisions. During the Dogs game, a game he did some great stuff in, he botched 3 goals before he got going. My mates around me were labelling him "Have A Shot Mick" because of some selfish looking play.
He also took too many steps running into goal on Saturday and passed off into 50 into rubbish pack situations that even the average Carlton backmen were capable of clearing.
As I say, within his limitations, I think he can do even better. There is no reason Mick can't kick bags of 8 or even assist 2 or 3 more majors a game.
Am I being too harsh? I reckon he could smash Fremantle on Sunday if he focuses for 4 quarters.
Thoughts?
