With 15 seconds to go, Simmonds gets a hitout. The AFL site records it as 25 hitouts, which pushes him into the next bucket, so his hitouts score 2.0 instead of 1.1. Glenn is down 3 points but this pushes him ahead to win by 2. I lose and have 4 wins (not enough to make finals and you go in). The stats are obviously finalised and Simmonds is recorded with 24 hitouts, the points deducted and I win! Lucky for me!!

Now that really sucks,i'm sure he did get a hand on that last hit out...honest,damn you afl website

Dapto Doggies 4.3.27 (1 player down)
Genius of Go. The Sphinkster 2.4.16 (2 players down)

Only 3 from Kosi. tsk tsk tsk.

In the other semi, its Bloods 2.4.16 (2 players used - one player used + one player not playing this week) v myself 8.3.51 (2 players used).

Big game from Matthew Carr coming into the starting X with 30 points - one more tackle and it would have been 48 (that tackling scoring still doesn't sit easily with me), while McPharlin's miss from 20m out directly in front cost me 5 points (although I won't complain about 21 from him).

            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

I was going to say "This from the man with Goodes as one of his backs!" then I had a look at Mike's team to see he has McPharlin AND Lucas as his backmen! Hooly dooly!

Well, it looks like my decision to bring in Matthew Carr paid dividends, but my decision to drop Dew, well, not so many dividends there - 43 points on the bench. It has left the door open just enough for Bloods to possibly sneak in.

I am prepared, at 10pm on Sat night, to concede defeat. It has been a great season, and I'm really proud of my blokes, but we just didn't have enough petrol in the tank. We'll finish it off hard on Sunday but know, baring a miracle, we are done. We'll have a few beers after the final final siren, and have a pretty mad Monday, recover on Tuesday and on Wednesday sit down and start crunching the numbers for the upcoming fantasy cricket comps. Well played Dogs, and good luck in the granny.

If not for my stuff up with the utility I might agree, but I think it unlikely now. Two crap weeks in a row by Bradshaw - very costly, plus 1 mark short of an extra 5 points for Gehrig. At least Voss was awesome!

If it makes you feel any better, I can't think of anyone I would rather humiliate in finals football.

Back on crazy scores, Michael Braun (who I thought was the pick of the West Coast midfielders against the Cats) and Joel Corey both had 22 disposals, Corey had 2 more marks and 5 more tackles (+1FF & 3FA) which gave him 2.5 times the points of Braun (10 for Braun and 25 for Corey)! I don't actually mind, everyone plays by the same scoring rules and I certainly have benefited from it in the past, the difference for these 2 just really suprised me.

Well its the Doggies vs the Marvels in the Fanfooty Grand Final. The Doggies would have to go in favourites on the back of a couple of huge scores and their forwards kicking bags of late. Meanwhile, the Marvels put it together after a couple of down weeks to defeat Saskatchewan - the dropping of Adam Simpson for Matthew Carr proved very successful, while dropping Stuart Dew for Brad Fisher not quite so successful, although Fisher at least did put in a decent performance.

Should be a cracker final. The Doggies have been the form side all season, but the Marvels have the ability to put together some huge scores.
