But I completely agree, it was a huge up and under that travelled across the goal line at chest height. However, it shows just what a bick kick Ablett does have that he can kick it like he did and it still travelled 50. When he gets proper contact with the ball, it will be up there to rival Davis.

Ablett and Buchanan have been able to provide us with quite a decent number of shots at goal playing as midfielders this year. Once they get their accuracy up, it will really be a huge advantage to increase the midfield goal contribution - something we have been lacking for some time.

Yeah, well spotted. I believe you can add McVeigh to that list as well. I always thought he had a "nose for goal". When he starts actually kicking them we will be looking better.

He will also look better after another pre-season in the gym, he's earning his keep now but he's still awefull skinny, can get pushed off the ball and some of his frees look like he's overcompnsating for his size by going high and scragging.

As I recall, it wasn't a nest but a two-on-two, and given we were on top at that stage, surely we can back our players to win the contested ball, rather than chip it 15m sideways?

Geelong had 2 players clear and one picked it up. Swans closed in and forced a turnover from an ambitious handball.

Not what I'd call "great play" by Davis. Or "Great value" or whatever ayres said. Other than that, his comentary was quite good.
