Carroll will probably play on Hall. It's harder to win the ball in the ones and generally when you do there's referred pressure there that there isn't in the magoos. Maybe that explains McVeigh's kicking woes at the higher level.

To me it seems that Melbourne are waiting to see what the weather does before naming their proper team.If it is dry,I feel they will bring big Johnson in and it would not surprise if Rigoni comes in for Holland if it is wet. It's purely a matter of wait and see.

It is indoors, so I don't think the weather will matter.

I think Carroll played on Hall in round 22 2003, and did all right on him for a while at least (can't remember the whole game). I think Bazza's improved since then, and I haven't heard much of Carroll since so that could be a big win for us.

If you're going to the game Smasher, make sure you go to Telstra Dome and not the MCG.

                Is Schuable finished ?

This is the classic match up for him. Melbourne down to one focal point. Double teaming Neitz with Schuable and Barry. Seems blindingly obvious

                I dont get it.

Yze is also a danger ; they have multiple options on their forward line. And their midfield is pretty good when firing.

Heard him interviewed on radio yesterday. In between the yeh/nos and the urrs and ums, he said he has been used in the forward pocket of late and when he went the midfield last week when they were getting flogged he ran out of petrol tickets pretty quickly.

I suspect he will play forward so as long as someone like Crouch tags him all day his softness hopefully will show through. If I recall correctly in our last few encounters with the Dees that is what they have done with good affect. Certainly at the Dome last year he didn't want the footy that much.

Yze played FF/FP last time we met.
Neitz played at CHF, Barry thrashed him.
CBolton played on Robertson I think.
                            Green rotated through there too.
Crouch and Dempster both played on Davey, who missed a couple of easy set shots.
They tried to drag Kennelly to the last line, and it worked.

                            McLean was their best midfield.
Ablett held Johnstone really well, and played well himself.
                            Bruce was injured.

The number 1 streak playing on the number 2 streak. The commentators would have a field day.

Especially if there is a major collision of bodies, to see who can continue.
