    - Nick Davis letting his opponent Whelan get away with too much ball.
    - A couple of times Micky O didn't contest a mark allowing his opponent Bizzell to go over and help Ferguson outmark Hall.
    - Willo having his 2nd quiet game in a row.

But he did seem to turn that around in the second half.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

In a wierd way that was a positive. We usually struggle going forward if Willo is not firing. Great to see us play good attacking footy without him on song.

Good point Mark. Also with Mickey Magic only kicking the 1 which meant our foils in O'Keefe and Davis were able to pick up the slack with 3 goals between them.

In cases where Leo Barry is struggling against a "hot" opponent, thus negating his much needed run from the half-back, another player is needed.

Schauble would have been the ideal player to swap oponents with, or even come off the bench to provide some assistance at the back.

I'd rather have Schauble contributing in this way off the bench, rather than having two players getting limited game time.

Schneider against was a bit disappointing, his left foot is not being used effectively. Give him some confidence by getting him into the forward pocket, or half forward line, kicking goals.

Monty, Jolly, Jude and Hall were the best players of the night.
Untapped potential wasted by ultimate-defensive gameplan.

and despite his low return, i thought magic looked more dangerous than ever last night. how long has it been since he's looked that mobile? he even got puffed at one stage.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know
