We've mentioned Jollys goal deep in the pocket. BUT, what about the kick that got it too him from Dempster. Even the commentators were stunned that he didn't give it too Davis, but when over his head to Jolly standing all by himself.

It was interesting to hear Roosy single out Jarrad McVeigh for his efforts.Apparantly he was running with Cousins whist Willo was resting. It just goes to show stats doin't mean everything.
Great to see Schneider back to the form we saw in 2003.
Jolly and Ball both had great games and it was encouraging to have such a good win without Goodes dominating.

Fitness. I said at the start that if we could stay near the Weagles until 3/4 we'd run away in the last. We always seem to be able to. "Wear down then flatten" could sum up our game plan. It's fair to say that the Swans have significantly better stamina than any other team in the comp.

Having said that, it'll be hard to come back as hard as that against the Crows. Good thing they had a hard game yesterday, too.

Another positive is the fitness of the guys! It was a bloody hot day and the tempo was the quickest I have seen all year! Their ability to keep running when many of them looked out on their feet was sensational! Their concentration was amazing and they supported their teammates really well by doing the little things - tackling, running hard even when all looks lost (i.e Williams running down Judd in the goal square pressuring him and he missed a sitter), providing shepards and smothers!

Also - can't not mention it, since I have been telling you guys ALL YEAR that he could do it - SCHNEIDERMAN IS BACK IN TOWN!
And the man who started it, the Schneiderman, can kick his third for the quarter. And the swans are in the Grand Final!

Good point. I actually thought it would go the other way. That we would have to work harder to contain and pressure West Coast therefore getting more tired in the 4th. I was hoping to keep it close to Half-Time then a big 3rd quarter and hoping to hold off West Coast in the 4th. Luckily it went the opposite way with West Coast wearing down at the end. Great work by Roos and the midfield.

                Dempster for changing his Guernsey
Dempster has to go for Saddington, with the extra experience needed at this time of the year.

I think the biggest positive to come out of the game was defeating West Coast without Goodes and Hall having a major impact on the game. This clearly indicates we are becoming more even accross the board between our first ranked and 15th, 16th, 17th ranked players.....

Captain (Kirk) played like a man possessed as well - absolutely outstanding game from a man who gets the most out of his abilities every week.

Also loving Craig Bolton's efforts more and more every week.....
Well somebody told me, You had a boyfriend, Who looks like a girlfriend,That I had in February of last year, It's not confidential, I've got potential

Somebody told me, The Killers, Hot Fuss, 2004.

I'm not sure that Saddington is considered a backman anymore.

I would love to see Barry moved out to Dempsters pocket, then Schuable into fullback. Might be pie in the sky, but still my niggling doubt on our backline with LRT the only tall.

Another positive - Sydney front page of both SMH & Aussie papers today & plenty of coverage in the Tele.

And rightly so with a great win before an excellent crowd.

Interesting to note from the Aussie photo that Ben Matthews has some cryptic oriental pictogram tattoed on his left arm. Perhaps a quote from "Art of War" along the lines of "Go ever sideways & slowly"?

Well done Ben in any event.

Early in the last quarter, Keka on MMM said that the WEagles were gorne - and he was right - the Swans were just finding space and targets too easily and at the ground, the WC players just looked really tired.

In the last five minutes, the game slowed dramatically - a produt of the tough, robust pace of the game.
