Regardless of the result last night, I have a bad feeling about the game next Sat night. Having played 2 extremely physical games 2 weeks in a row, we come up against one of our bogey sides (as far as winning away goes) who, when they get it together, can be pretty dangerous. However, at least we are playing a team that is renowned for lacking leg speed - so hopefully our legs (which would probably be very tired after these last 2 games) won't hurt us as much as they might have if we were playing a team like the Dogs.
IMHO the keys to us winning (and these are far from revolutionary - pretty much the same for every game against the Bombers) are keeping Hird and Jason Johnson quiet in the midfield and not letting them get quick delivery to Lloyd and Lucas - Lucas in particular needs to be kept outside about 60m for shots on goal. For us, we need to get the ball moving into our forward line alot quicker than we did last night to allow Hall, O'Loughlin et al alot more space to work in, rather than relying on pinpointing passes into a sea of players (which we struggle to do with our lower skill level) and we need to try and run the Bombers off their feet (a tough ask considering the last 2 games we've played).
