He's improved so much because there was a lot of room to improve to begin with. In other words, he's coming off a low base.

I loved the stat they showed on the telecast

"Lewis-Roberts-Thompson - never had more than 14 possessions in his 40 games of football."

Actaully, this is not such a bad thing, would like to see the stats on his opponent. He's turning into a pretty handy negator.

Something has to be done about that haircut though. Looks like a friggin village idiot.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Ahhh, a cunning tactic to get free kicks. Even the slightest touch to the head causes his hair to shake violently. Smart man. LRT takes the mental side of the game to a new level.

Since Liz had already posted the correct origin, perhaps your repost was a touch OTT?

Not really - Liz posted 'Son of Serge' and barry posted 'Son of Silvagni' at the same time, so anyone who didn't know originally may still have been unsure which it was, so I thought I'd clarify. Didn't realise people were so sensitive as to read anything more into it.

Mod Edit:Okay, thats enough by all concerned regarding the origins of SOS

Having watched LRT closely here a couple of areas he has improved:

                1) He is keeping his feet more often , and thus remains in the contest longer or is the only person standing

                2) Has been using his body much better when positioning and thus is getting his hand to the ball alot more in one on one contests

                3) He has started to use his size and bulk to block opponents or create paths for our players when the ball is on the deck. He is a big stong lad and now seems more comfortable to use that bulk

                4) His decision making has improved once he gets the ball. This is probably due to the above, he now feels more confident in trusting his instincts and taking the first option

Another 5 to 8kg's in the gym over the summer and more time on good opponents and I can see him only getting better.

Thank you - just the 2nd sentence was all I needed to know. I know who Stephen (spelt with a ph) Silvagni (note correct spelling of surname) is.

I believe LRT has improved by 100% this year and I am a much bigger fan of his now than I thought I would be 3 months ago. I just want to see him kick his first goal live, by what I saw on the weekend it won't be for a while but when it happens, I will go ballistic.

You are getting closer to rocking with every game LRT. Keep it up!

SOS has certainly helped LRT but LRT has executed brilliantly on what he has been taught. So full credit for LRT.

That's the thing though isn't it, SOS's recent efforts have accelerated an improvement that's been there since the start of the season.
From the Nth Sydney game you could see that he'd been busy in the gynm and more significantly that he must have done an enormous amount of work on his handball. His one handed pickup and dish off on the weekend however was an absolute eye opener for me.

And to think I was getting worried about him after the Geelong game . . . er does anyone know when SOS started working with him?
