Because I feel that the Crows at AAMI is an even bet, whilst the Eagles at Subi seems an almost foregone conclusion ...

Equal chance first week, or preliminary ... I know where my hopes lie ...

So it is. That changes the favouritism to the Eagles for that one but it will be a bone jarring affair none-the-less

So why not focus on the first week and then have a home PF? Especially considering that it's not an even chance. Play the Crows after a trip to Perth or after a weeks break - which is better?

Our goal this season is to make the GF. The best way to do that is to play a home PF. To get a home PF we need to win in the first week. Our best chance of winning in the first week is to play the Crows.

Play the Eagles in the first week of the finals and our chances of making the GF are very low.

Que sera sera. We'll play who we play and we'll see how we go. No outcome is certain.

            don't agree with you, mate.
I don't think wet toast are as formidable as they lead us to believe even after kicking the dockers last weeek. same with the crows. It will be tough but not impossible

I am looking for a top four to give us an extra chance. Then we'll take it froim there.

I don't think that game is going to matter - I still think WC will beat Adelaide in rd 22.

As I watch the Geelong v Wiggles game I've come to the same conclusion - stop worrying about results over which Sydney has no control and concern myself only with Sydney's games.

After today and the Swans game, you'd have to say that the Eagles don't play well under lots of presure. And Adelaide has mastered pressure.

Rd 22 is in Subi though - those two games were away. WC has had issues with their forward line all year and it's compounded by the loss of Matera. At Subi their midfield can dominate, but away from Subi that doesn't happen so well and their forward line weakness becomes obvious.

If we are really a contender, it should not matter who we play or where. We should be able to beat anybody, anywhere. With the results of the Weagles' and Crows' games today, we are not guaranteed to play the Crows if we finish third.

Agree 100%. No matter who we play in first week of the finals we must win. Travelling to Subi or AAMI doesn't make a difference.

                                Similar dimensions as today

Eagles reply on the delivery through their midfield. The Crows are better than us at locking that up. I don't think the Eagles can turn their game plan around enough not to be ground out of the competition by the Crows next week. Geelong did it - and it's not a team with the hard bodies of the Crows. Also, the Crows will be on a high and the Eagles on a low - interesting to see how/if they bounce back?

Frankly, I couldn't give a rat's except as it affects the Swans. It's a bind if we play for 3rd to get AAMI in week 1 only to get 3rd and Subi (because the Crows go to 1). If we get over the Roos tomorrow, I think the best flag chances are the Crows, Eagles and Swans. Saints too injured and the Eagles cred just took a big step back.

Getting exciting - but have to win tomorrow first.

I just hope the Subi game next week is hard and rough - I suspect it might be.
