I wouldn't say I'm worried about the other results, I just like to know how things are going elsewhere. I went to four full games when in Melbourne for the Sydney v Essendon match two weekends ago and loved every moment of it...
Ah, sometimes I wish I lived in Melbourne... but thoughts such as that don't usually last long

PS: It was great to see Freo with their fairytale ending against the Saints, and even better to hear Wet Toast got smacked by Geelong. They didn't even manage to score in the 3rd! Yeah!
And you can't find nothing at all,
If there was nothing there all along.

Who cares, it could all be irrelevant if we lose tomorrow.

That was what I was musing about when at the Newtown Jets match today.

We, once again, have things working out fantastically for us. What is the bet we do not take the opportunity given to us.

Sorry but I have followed this team for too long. And have been in this position way way way too often. What is the bet we play like crap and lose tomorrow.

I dearly hope I am wrong. But years of support have rendered me gnarled twisted and cynical about this team. I have gotten my hopes up way way way too often before

I just get the feeling that this team is different.

I thought Farmer had thrown it away when he selfishly had a shot from 60m and missed, when a Freo player was running into an empty goal square.

Great finish. St Kilda have a bit of restructuring to do, with the injury list increasing.

Despite JF's pessimism, this year the Swans have their destiny in their hands. Our position on the ladder at the end of the H&A doesn't even depend on other teams' results. So let's see if the team's self belief is as strong as it seems.

Luck is falling our way a bit too. Saints injuries, hard last game for the Crows and Eagles - and the Crows have to play finals after returning from WA.

In the depressing early days of this season I said that the saddest thing was that the Swans weren't trying hard enough in a year when the competition was wide open. Now they have done the work and the competition is there to be won. However, I still think that the Crows are going to be the hard team to beat - and that's something I certainly didn't expect at the start of 2005!

Not true. If Saints lose next week while we win, then we should still finish third.

We had destiny in our hands in '96 and '98 and '03 (and possibly '04 too).

Interestingly no one seemed to be saying that here just a couple of weeks ago!

Things worked out fantastically.?! Thats drawing a long bow. If we'd kicked straight to beat Adelaide, and kicked straighter in one or two games at the start of the year, we'd be top 2, and cruising into the granny on the back of two home finals.
Also, to elevate us to the hieghts of "fantastic" we'd have the friggen umpires on our side all year.
No, we have, in general had an mildly unlucky year to date. Luck has shined upon us with injuries is all.
Any luck we get with scheduling during the finals we deserve.

As long as Micky doesnt play the entire last qtr of the Hawks game we'll be sweet.... Rd 22, Top 4 against a team out of finals contention at the MCG... rings a bell for Magic...
                              - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

O'Loughlin, Hall, Goodes and Ball should be kept off the ground as much as possible if the game is under control. As tempting as it might be for Hall to have a dip at the Coleman - it's more important that he gets through unscathed.
