    Hawthorn

    Swannies....

Win, lose, or draw, just get through this game without any injuries.... please!

Rest those that need rest. Nurse those who need nursing.

I've been feeling like this for the last two weeks. Just cant wait for the finals to finally start.

The biggest danger with this game is injury, no doubt. In fact, we'd be better off psycologically if we had to win this to make the Top 4 or something.

It would give us more to play for and less chance of dancing around avoiding injury, because that's when you get hurt.

Here's hoping the Hawkers are keener for those draft pics than they're willing to admit publicly!

We should play the Hawks like the Roos: get out to a nice chunky margin, then play out the last quarter of the game with all the important players on the bench: Hall, Goodes, O'Loughlin.

There's a good chance that Gehrig won't play this week. Bazza would need 5 goals for the Coleman. It would be good if he got it, but team success is more important.

If there are one or two players who need a rest to get over niggles they should take the rest. I wouldn't rest more than two players.

I wouldn't take the Hawks lightly, however. They will be playing to win. They want to avoid the dreaded woodware!

If the Pies lose on Friday night, the pressure of the spoon will be off the Hawks. Unless we give them an absolute mauling, to ruin their %.

And, rest the top players for the Qualifying finals and then give the top players a run for the Semi/Preliminary whatever.

It's important we don't lose our momentum and keep winning well.

A Coleman for Bazza would be a great boost to the club heading into the finals but I agree its not essential.

The biggest factor should be familiarisation with the MCG where the big one will be played.

I am sure Roos will use playing on the MCG as the main motivating factor before the game.

I'm quite happy to sit Hall at FF all game to get the Coleman. You take the tokens of acheivement when you get the chance.

Lose on the MCG against the Hawks and our cred will be questioned as the Eagles is right now.

Yeah - encourage him to play a slightly more goal hungry game. I'm sure the rest of the team will be quite willing to help him.

If Gehrig plays you can bet the Saints will giving him as much opportunity as possible.

I don't give a toss about the Coleman, however I want the guys to use the game to further hone their skills and game plan, plus most importantly to gain more experience playing on the MCG.

Sydney will play a full strength side (including Ball) & will play as they have for the last month. They may rest players in the last qr but that's as little respite as the Hawks can hope for.

                      We'll pants them by 12.

Hawthorn have no interest in winning and would tank if it werent for the fact that Sydney are a far superior team and will thrash them anyway.

For this game I think the most important things are:

                            1. Experiencing MCG
                            2. Keeping a winning momentum
                            3. Avoiding injuries at all cost

If the Swans keep focusing on above goals, their confidence going into the finals will be rock solid.
