    Round 22 Positives

3rd place! We play the loser of West Coast and Adelaide.

Great team effort, and 3rd week in a row that we've had the game won at half time. Means that the boys have had plenty of opportunity to rest up towards the end of each match. They will all be absolutely primed to take on an exhausted and hopefully injured team next week.

    no major injuries
today was just a glorified training run
the swans of old would have made today a tough game but we seem to be more level headed than in previous seasons

Dempster's good game was a positive. He put in a lot of little 1percenters today.

We hit the 20 goal mark for the first time this season.

Another fantastically even team performance - not a single passenger today.

Nicky D showed that last week wasn't a one off - he is truly back to his goal kicking best.

Our ruck division did pretty well against Spider, one of the best in the business.

Midfield chipped in for a few goals - something that is one of the weaknesses of the team and we'll need them to keep doing so for the next month.

Selwood gone to hospital, suspected broken cheek bone.
(Not that that is a positive, but it was Ricciuto that hit him I think)

Davis finding form at right time. We'll have 3 quality forwards in great form going into Week 1, couldnt ask for anything more.

Kicking a high score (our highest) where Bazza didn't get a bag of goals.

Seeing the new Ponsford stand awash with Red & White!

Good point! Doesn't matter, its either Adeliade after a loss without Ricciuto (probably) or agaisnt WC (who will have lost 4 of their last 6 including 1 at home). Best time to play WC IMO.

That's the problem with modern day medicine - there's no more natural selection of the species.
No wonder there's so many Collingwood fans.

Yeah the Selwood injury came off Riccuito - was watching it when it happened, not pretty at all - actually if Riccuito and Hodge both get suspended it opens the way for BBH for the Brownlow

But since this thread is about Round 22 Positives.

4 weeks in a row that we've got more than 100 points in a match.
We didn't seem to give away as many free kicks as normal (lost the FK count by 1. It was 16-15 Hawks way).
                    No major injuries.
Dempster - impressive game, even though he had 8 possessions, those long kicks and the tackling. Yowzah. I could watch him all day.

Fosdike came off in the third quarter, and Willo looked a bit sore in the last, but official injury list was nil, so that's positive enough for me.

The players also seemed to be well aware of the relative importance of this game compared to next week - yet still managed to win quite easily.

Willo was a positive out of this game - got more possessions than he has for a fair while. Good sign for the finals - in form, he can still match up on the likes of Judd (elim final last year)

Monty - another great game, I had a lot more confidence in his set shot going through than I used to! The comments on here about how the opportunities he creates more than make up for any errors are very true after today.

Since I can't type today I meant no not not

Yeah Fossie did his ankle - I was worried for a moment in that 2nd quarter when Nicky D went down because we've seen him injure his hammy and ankle that way before - but luckily he got up and them kicked a bagful of goals.

Another impressive stat is it broke our mini MCG curse we had going - because we had only won 5 of our last 12 until today.

Most valuable thing was probably the experience playing on the MCG. And the fact that it was a great team effort.

                            No injuries.

Davis doing some nice things - clearances, kicks inside 50 and great goals.

Williams seemed to be running back into a bit of form.

Despite a fairly dull game, no Mexican wave...
