    Never saw this game as much more than a practice game - I actually hoped the Hawks would put up more of a fight to give us a better contest, although they did show a bit in patches. I'm sure the players are well aware of the relative importance of today vs last week.

    For the last 3 weeks, the second halves of our games have been basically all junk time! Pretty handy going into the finals, but not exactly match-hardening stuff. It does say a lot for how good our form has been at putting teams away in the first half, so I don't know whether that's a positive or a negative.

        Noticed a stat today that MOL is 5th in the competition in goal assists. So unlikely that Roos shares your concerns.

          I had a few observations that were less than glowing too:

          * Goodesy was terrible and he must have a good reason, ie injured because he does not bend down for contests. Isn't running hard and has not 2nd or 3rd efforts like he used to. He worries me right now;

          * Willo is active and still valued but his age is showing right now, missing targets, slow handballs, missing shots on the run he'd normally nail.

          * We did play a bit extravagently today. We should have been working on building up play to our F50 and instead the boys at times were working on their individual party tricks. This team has no time for that rubbish.

          Other that that, a 9 goal victory against a team in the bottom of the 8 that is very capable was a good result, could have been a 20 goal victory such is the gulf between our talent and their's though!

            We did what we had to do, we won, no injuries, a bit of fitness training.

              You mean in the bottom 3?

                Only negative i saw was some arrogance in our plays. Some lazy passes, lazy efforts in picking up the ball (Goodes i'm looking at you). We obviously can't afford to do this next week.

                  Yeah, there is too much segmentation that's going on at the moment.

                  I think I meant the bottom of the bottom 8 ha!

                      If it wasnt for Barry Hall, he might.

                        I think just looking at own goals underestimates MOL's contribution to the forward line. For example Goodes' goal, although a nice move and finish by him, came directly from a superb gather and handball from MOL.

                          Sometimes I wonder if some people are watching a different team to the one I am!

                              I'd say it was in agreeance... otherwise I am tuned into that other game with you!
                              I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
                              We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

                                I had assumed so, but sometimes it's a bit confusing here. Then again, sometimes if I do watch a different game to some others.
