Don't know why - that's obviously they way they had pre-planned it and did it that way last year too. However, they don't always do it the same way.

TO ensure there's no five-day breaks. We could be playing on Saturday but it's unlikely because Saturday Night has already been promised to the winner of today's game. That's the evil Allsorts.

It was way back on Mother's Day that I saw the Eagles play at York Park. I thought then, even though I was distracted by the brillance of Wirrpunda, that the Eagles weren't really as good as their position on the ladder indicated. They weren't really putting Hawthorn away and the Hawks were able to match it with them. The only player that really stood out was Dean Cox and the way he was able to run to the wings to receive. Spider wasn't able to keep with him and he wasn't burdened with the extra tattoos he has now.
(Damn,.. I nearly made it through a Post sounding sensible)
They are beatable and for me to be optimistic is unbelievable. Us Capricorns are too earthbound to be flighty.

p.s. My Mother and I got our picture in the local paper that weekend as tru-blue Aussie rules supporters. Too right to, as her uncle used to have a tree at the ground dedicated to him as a war fallen footy player, and her mother was a life member of two Launceston clubs for serving afternoon teas at York Park for a million years, and her brother was a Tassie player and captain coach out of York Park with Launceston and North Launceston. I grew up at York Park but barracking for a Redandwhite team.(City-South)

speaking of cox, i reckon the ball/jolly double team will be a good one for us, he looks tired after a long season

also cousins, judd, fletcher etc...... didnt kick any goals today so we have to hope they keep up the form this week

I think they are tired. As much as I cursed that we didn't get the Wizard Cup game at York Park because we played our seconds I now bow to the wisdom of the coaching staff. We started slowly. West Coast ,I think were too fast out of the blocks.

I would much rather play the Toasters. Their forward line is very average and relies heavily on perfect deilivery from Judd, Kerr, Cousins et al. Put some pressure on these guys, as the Swans are very good at, and the young Weagles forwards such as Seaby, lynch Morgan etc will not be able to kick a winning score (and don't even mention Matera who is a totally worthless waste of space!).

                  Pulled this off abc.net.au

The Eagles now face Sydney in a qualifying final next Friday night at Subiaco, while the Crows have an extra two days break before they play St Kilda in the other qualifying final on Sunday afternoon.

ETA: While AP is reporting Saturday night for the other QF. We'll find out tomorrow.

Well Jason Ball isn't going home to Sydney tonight, he was last sighted catching a Taxi in Clarendon St St Melbourne, with numerous Swans fans yelling at him, then a few of the fans decided to take off after the players bus that was parked around the corner.

We are such a chance to win and go straight to a home preliminary final. I can barely contain my excitement about our chances of making it to the GF. Everything just seems to be falling into place. Saints can beat Adelaide too. Crows may have to play Port in week 2 if they lose to Saints - what a game that would. And we'd get to play the battered winner. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

As I said at the SARC today, they use way way way too much baby oil. At first I thought it was just just Glen Jakovich. Now I know it is most of them.

If the E-Girls get bundled out of the finals, they could always think of a career in the porn industry. Names like Drew Banfield, Chad Fletcher, Dean Cox. All covered in baby oil as well. The upper class BMW-driving women of Dalkeith and Cottesloe Beach are wrything with excitement at that!

Remember fake tans wash off fellas! And so does baby oil, eventually!

One thing for certain - if we kick 15+ goals again this week then we will have won.

Really, I think our forward line is the key - if Bazza and co. play well then I can't see the Eagles winning.

Bummer. They only lost by 10 points. Sucks very much. Good for the people in Perth, considering how many games they get to see, but bad for some who have work on Friday.

Today's Sunday herald said they play two games on Friday and two on Saturday.

It said they dont play this Sunday because they must have more than five days lay off between finals and the week after is the two games on Friday and Saturday (the TV ratings)
