Two years ago, many of us had come to suspect that our Ablett wasn't going to make it. He seemed to be drfiting off.
During the 2003 finals we saw him lift his desperation levels dramatically and in the next two seasons he's become an important part of our midfield. His body shape and playing style are certainly suited to finals football . . . perhaps he could go to a higher level again.

Is LRT going to play properly this week (last week yukky)?
yukky? What do you mean by that? Didn't like his game? Made the stomach turn?

I thought he wasn't tight enough on his opponent esp. early on. He flew for a few marks, came down with none, one in particular was in the goal square where a punch would have been a better option.
Perhaps he's been lurking and read too many of the nice things sanecow, Nico, bloods etc. etc. etc. have been saying about him.

Perhaps I'm being too harsh, but I don't want his form to slide (especially not in the finals). I want to see giants "prediction" come true.

Mind you, LRT did indulge in a bit of biffo in the goal square at the Ponsford end. Looks like he can get under the skin of his opponent.

Here's what I think we need...

            Obviously a huge team effort.

That said either kirk, Ablett or Crouch (or a combo) to take out Judd and Cousins. Easier said than done, though it has been done by us before.

Then we need a couple of our "other" midfielders to step up, win the clearances and deliver the ball quickly and accuratly forward.

If we do all of that and our backline stands firm and our forwards kick with their usual accuracy,

            We will win.

            Go Swines...

Cousins is meant to have a mild case of op and Cox is nursing a knee injury.

I heard that too, snowy, also heard Judd was struggling with OP, too.

I wouldn't take rumours like that too seriously. They might be deliberate as part of the mind game some teams are playing. Roos should dismiss these rumours and assume that both will be playing fully fit.

Its used as an insult on Big Footy - its certainly not used as a term of endearment.

I think it's an old one. In its previous incarnation it had "PLUGGA" written on the side and proved hard to catch.
