Fitness is a big factor in the second half, and if we can hold it together, their midfield runners may slow, allowing us to draw even in the midfield, and hence we have more chance than they do of kicking goals.
If our midfield gets a bit of the ball or Hall hangs on to a few marks (or both) then things look good. Tight 'finals footy' and @@@@house umpiring, what more could you want.

If our midfield doesn't lift in the second half we're gone.

Well to Matthews' defence someone else was on Kerr before he was transferred to him

Crouch was on Matera I think but not sure now who he's on.

        Kirk's (13 disp) on Fletcher (12 disp).

Willo and NOG had contained Cousins and Judd in the first quarter but they were dominated in the 2nd. They're definitely targeting Willo's shoulder though, on a few occasions when he's gone head first in for the ball they've gone for the shoulder on him.

The fact is we've been belted for virtually the entire game so far, yet we're only down by 2. We need to start winning more ball around the packs, and start holding on to a few more marks and we are in with a huge chance.

Defence is to be commended for their efforts - doing a huge amount of work.

If we can go that bad and still be with them, then we are a great chance.
Just need to step up a bit and get our heads in front.
Watch their big blokes slow down in the second half.and do the things that we can control a lot better

I enjoy it, gives a vent to my spleen. Our midfield is playing very defensively. WC are getting plenty of it but most of it under pressure. Walls has been carrying on about lack of structure etc in the WC fwd line but their has been a heap of pressure on the midfiled. They are getting plenty of it but not doing much with it. Our middle is going ok. If they can start to get hold of it a little more, that would be beaut

Was Matera. Now it's either Sampi or Cousins.

                        Williams - 9 Cousins - 16
                        Matthews - 5 Kerr - 16

Those three Weagles players right there have destroyed us in the first half.
Mathews only went onto Kerr half way through the first qtr - has done pretty well. Kerr had 12 possession in the first ten minutes (not sure who was on him then). Has only had 4 in a quarter and a half since Mathews went to him.

Ablett has had a very ordinary game.

O'Keefe, Schneider and Fosdike have also been ordinary.

I thought I heard the commentators say early on in Q1 that Goodes was on Kerr, but I'm not at the game and nor watching TV, so just passing on what I heard.

Sounds like Ben M has done a good job.

                            According to Wall's board.

                            Dempster's on Sampi.
                            Crouch is on Kerr.

                            Matera's done his hip.

Tadgh's #2 in the Stat Ranking behind Judd.

Another good thing is that we won the 1/4.

Free kick tally is 13-7. The usual I guess.
