70 bucks for premium...ouch. I remember for the 03 Prelim the premium seats were 56 dollars.Official Driver Of The "Who Gives A @@@@ As The Player Will Get Delisted Anyway" Bandwagon.

Okay so say you want to try and go for the area which is below the Ladies (Bay 35-38) - if it's not blocked by the SCG members ticketing, I'm trying to work out which bracket it falls into
I'm seriously going to rock up to Ticketek tomorrow with a map of the SCG in my hand and go this is where I want to sit, now try to find a way to give me something in that damn area.

I'd say Standard would be the bays on the hill, the rest of the concourse would probably be prime, while stand seating would probably be something similar to Glenn's suggestion.Originally posted by Glenn

I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Premium at the "G" for the first week of the finals was $59.00 so that is not inconsistent with what is being paid in Melbourne. Not that I can complain, got pre game lunch, all booze I wanted plus the premium seat for nothing on a freebie corporate package.Originally posted by Jeffers1984

Must have been tempting for the AFL to slightly increase the prices now that they are taking a 25,000+ hit on the numbers.

i don't agree as it is experiencing this kind of game that can entice future members and the best recruiters of such people are their friends that are current members.Originally posted by Grant
It should only be one per membership anyway.Members should always get priority,if the other people want to go then its simple, they should have bought a membership.
this arrangement means that if i take up my ticket tomorrow i cannot sit with my partner who has this year got keen and is considering buying a membership next year. i also can't sit with my father who wants to come down to sydney from the hunter valley for this one as his father played for geelong.
given that only members may legitimately queue tomorrow there is ample opportunity for members to get their tickets. i don't subscribe to the view that the fact that we've paid money in the past means that we shouldn't have to put in some effort to get a ticket. i'd prefer to sit next to somebody seeing their first game or on the cusp of getting keen enough to sign up next year over some cashed-up dilettante or jaded windbag anyday.
finally, memberships for many people are a financial luxury (one that i've gleefully indulged in) but that by no means necessarily makes them less passionate (a much misused term on this board) supporters.Last edited by timthefish; 5 September 2005, 12:51 AM.then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i knowComment

I agree with the first part of your comment - which is why I'm mightily annoyed that the game is not at Telstra.Originally posted by timthefish

But I strongly disagree with the rest of your post. One of the benefits of membership is priority access to finals tickets. If tickets are sold on the basis of one per membership, every member gets a chance to go to the game, including Melbourne based members and even allowing for an allocation for Geelong members. Would be criminal if members didn't get that chance because non-members (even friends of members) bump them out.Comment

i guess i'm peeved that these finals tickets are so greatly devalued by the allowances this year. personally i'm not really interested in going when i can't share the experience with others that i've shared so much with this year. if i can't scam a few extras tomorrow morning (ticketek agents usually don't know much) i'll probably just take my chances with the other members of the public the next day.Originally posted by liz

i maintain that if members were allowed to buy at the very least a single extra ticket membership would still be a priveledged position come sale time today.Would be criminal if members didn't get that chance because non-members (even friends of members) bump them out.
i suppose the club's hand may be forced legally. i can't remember if membership guarantees advantage in buying a final ticket or the certainty of doing so. i assume it's the former as the latter situation could be sticky.then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i knowComment

Not when the capacity of the ground is 43,000 less 10,000 odd SCG members and membership of two clubs playing is 50,000+.Originally posted by timthefish

i do not regard privilege to be synonymous with guarantee. this is where perhaps we will have to disagree. i see the advantage of being able to buy a ticket over having to find a member that will give you one of their (apparently nonexistent) allotment as being real and significant. i don't see this year why a member might need more than 24 hours to buy their single ticket. if they can't get themselves organised by this morning i wouldn't have a great deal of sympathy if they miss out. they can't have wanted it that badly if you ask me.Originally posted by liz

anyway. no more flogging a redundant argument. this present situation is unacceptable if you ask me. the club and the afl should have ensured the possibility of this match being at the stadium.Last edited by timthefish; 5 September 2005, 07:48 AM.then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i knowComment

Good morning y'all.
I got up at 7:50AM. I am leaving and 8:50AM to drive to our shopping centre and buy tix at a Ticktek agency. Thought I should share that all with you.Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.Comment
