In my opinion, having a little bit of physical soreness against geelong or st kilda will not have a huge impact on the game. When the crowd is roaring and the adrenalin is pumping it's 90% psychological. If we really are a champion side we will not blame recovery or anything like that if we lose. Look at Brisbane, they had to play 4 straight finals to win the premiership...but they got the job done. No moaning...no blaming umpiring decisions...or recovery time...they just went out and did it because they were a champion side. If we are a champion side we will go out and win these games...no excuses.

You can be sure that the preparation will be spot on physically and mentally.

The noises coming from the camp this week have been encouraging.

It's hard to say how much of a toll the Perth trip took - although I do agree that Geelong's easy win may not actually have helped them all that much in preparing for the Swans. Our easy win against WC in the finals last year certainly didn't help us against St. Kilda the week later...

I'm optimistic (but bloody nervous ), and I do have confidence in the team's ability get the job done, but I'm not underestimating Geelong at all - it will be a tough game. They've had some good wins against us at the SCG when we've let our guard down - Rocket's last game in 2002 for one, and nearly beat us in 2004 here.

They looked shattered as where we.
