    Bevan in

    Bevan in Vogels out.

Its been a long time between drinks for Bevan, good to see him back.

What do people think of the selection?

And what other changes do you think will/ought to be made?

If Ablett doesn't come up i'd like to see Malceski get another run - speed and skill would be a welcome addition.

I love Bevan's aggression but doesn't he tend to give away frees?

I just watched the Crows game last night and their player who gave away about four frees really cost them the game, I thought.

Surprised, I hope he plays better than he did earlier in the year.

Accuracy in front of goal makes him a welcome addition.

Beat me to it! Just deleted the thread I started on the same thing, I'll just copy and paste my thoughts into this one

Vogels can count himself unlucky - Roosy even said so. Especially as Bevan hasn't played senior footy since round 13.

I was beginning to see Vogels as our 'smoky' during the finals - the type of player who could bob up to take a crucial mark, kick a goal when we need it.

When I first saw the headline I thought Bevan was coming in for Willo or NOG who didn't come up this week! If he was, this probably would have been mentioned in the article, so that's one positive I guess.

Roos is really fine-tuning the squad. Jude Bolton played in the HF against the Eagles. I am sure that Jude Bolton would offer a decent option when other forwards need a rest.

Also against the eagles, we lacked a bit of pace around the midfield so the addition of Bevan is logical I think.

Must be bringing him in to fulfil a special assignment - maybe to assist in tagging SOG.

                  Clearly a match-up thing.

The Cats are playing very short without Ottens in the side, and we need a fast solid tackling type to help with their horde of midgets.

To Bevo - Well Done! Its been a long time out of the side, so here's hoping you make most of the opportunity.

I would of thought Vogels height and kicking would of kept him in the team. Hope it works out though. I do feel sorry for Bevan been unlucky but gosh I am worried.

Presumably Roosy has decided we have enough forward targets for the SCG and he is probably right.

Bevan is prone to giving away frees and the odd clanger so hopefully he brings his right game on Friday.

I suspect Bevan was included because he also provides extra insurance for NOG and Willo should they break down during the game.

I think we'll see Crouchy play on SOG if Ablett starts up forward but NOG will get him if he ventures into the midfield.

Scott Thompson was the one who gave away all the frees, it was very costly. Bevan needs to reduce his clanger rate as well.

Odds on now that Ablett won't come up and Vogels will be back into the side.

This move just keeps the Cats guessing as to whether Ablett will or will not play.

The structure has been good with the mix of talls & smalls so no need to change it now.

There's 2 SOGs now - or COLs if you prefer!
