      Wonderful player. Glad he's not AA. We need him in one piece...
      He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

        Love the way Kirky never says die, but somewhat taken aback when I read what he had said to Nicky D after Davis let his direct opponent score:
        "You owe us one".

        The way it was printed, there seemed to be an element of malice in the comment, though I'm sure I'm just reading too much into it. Having been captain, Kirky would have a fair idea about the type of things he is able to say to Davis, and such a comment obviously inspired him. I just thought it was interesting, that's all.

        Kirk for captain!
