Great summary NMW. I hope so much I can get a copy of a tape of the last quarter. Watching highlights on he news is awesome. I could watch Davis' last quarter goals a thousand times.

my tape runs out at the 28 out minute mark..then i realised seconds after the siren and started taping again at the start of the tape..so pretty much ive got everything but the last 2 or 3 minutes

I unwittingly put in a short tape and it cut out right on three quarter time.......AAARRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!

just put this into your browser or the open URL thingy in windows media player. i've watched it about 25 times already

and just on the above link, where it says "SF", thats for semi final obviously - if u want to watch any game during the season just put in the round number and put a zero in front of single digits

and the number b4 the 560 is the game number for the round

eg: Rd 3 vs brisbane would be

Finally got to see it last night. Wow.

I actually didn't find out the result until about an hour after the match so I had no idea all this had gone down at the time!

All I had to go on was a frenzied voicemail from my wife at the match screaming her head off along with 39,000 others. Talk about distortion!

It was exhausting to watch even when you know the result.

Noticed a lot of good things - while it still wasn't a great performance, it was a victory for persistence. They actually started to do a few things right, like intelligent tap-ons, and got a bit of run going - the break-out that led to Davis' mark inside 50 against 2 cats was the best play of the game!

The Cats definitely went too defensive too early, after they got the first goal of the last quarter there were still 18 minutes of game time left and they did not score after that, and it cost them the match. They followed their game plan to shut us down almost to perfection - but couldn't keep it up for the whole game.

Did the Cats choke? If so, it's ironic, given I'm inclined to think we choked last week against the Weagles (think about it - O'Loughlin easy miss in the third, Kennelly bad miss in the last, blazing away when no-one was there to take a mark except Cox...)

I watched it when recovering on the couch yesterday.
I watched it again last night when the Adelaide game became a whitewash.
Then Mum asked me if I could replay the final quarter so she could watch it again.

I think I've watched the last qtr 4 times now. Rivetting stuff.

At the time I thought Davis' last shot had missed, until I saw the crowd going beserk. The lounge room was then rocking. Most elated I've been for a long, long time.
