Those two must really be in a bad way if they are taking the risk of not playing both of them in a prelim. Both strong marking targets, a big loss for the Saints.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Huge loss for them, they would of really stretched our backline.

If we could've picked two players to mis out for the Saints, I think these may well have been the two. Still sceptical coz it will be a big call to bring them back for a GF.

Sounds a bit like game playing to me. I'll wait for the team lists on thursday.

But saying that with those two missing, and a slippery night, our backline might be ok even without schuable.

I really really really hope this news is legit.
Not that I don't think we can't beat the Saints with them playing at full strength, but when they lose on Friday it'll be great to sit back and watch them whinge: "oh if Hamill had played we'd have won"
"oh if Kosi wasn't such an injury prone dud we'd have won the flag"
"oh if Thomas wasn't such an egocentric hack we'd be premiers."
              "blah blah blah..."

              Good night, Saints. Good night.

                They will play.

this is what they call mind games.

Agree. Just another scripted attempt of mind games. From today onwards I'm banning media from my life until Friday night.

I disagree. in order to concoct mind games you must first have a mind.
This immediately disqualifies Thomas et al from participating in any said 'mind games'.

Yeah same. Everyone down here bar us bloods are tipping the saints to win easily.

Not only that, the Melbourne media are just riding on the back of the saints being the only Victorian chance left so you can imagine the bias coverage!

And it's not just now, the Melb media has talked the Saints up all year. it's indicative of their STILL narrow view of the national comp.

With the exception of Healy and Schwatta, most senior media people in Melbourne know next to sod-all about the Swans.

As a result I never read too deeply into anything.

Could be mind games - or they really are taking us a little lightly thinking that they have us covered. Therefore why risk Hamill when he is 90% fit when they could wait a week for 95-100%.

I think they could be taking us lightly - more so their supporters and the Melbourne media.

Rendell made the point that he thought speculating about their fitness all week would be a distraction. Hamill actually did the calf at training and given that he's also missed many weeks with it during the season would represent a risk in playing. He's a bit of a bully so its good to see him out. With Kosi they lose flexibility as he can play at both ends and help out in the ruck. Clarke was their X factor as they actually lack a bit of pace. A Saints friend tells me they never lose in wet conditions so might hope the sting is out of the surface. I think their dangermen are Ball and Harvey. Those 2 will determine which end gets the supply.

I am astounded at how stupid and gullible the Melbourne footy public is. They take anything the "so called" experts in Melbourne say as gospel.

Like this whole flooding issue. Most ppl down here haven?t watched the swans bar that 1 game where Andy came out and suddenly we are the worst offenders of the flood. Even when we play attacking footy and the other team tries to flood us its not them but us.

Its my first year down here and i am learning to ignore it all. But it sucks when u buy the paper and the paper does its best to write why X team lost against the swans rather than "why the swans won"

I didn?t realise how despised the swans are down here!
