    Where were your flooders, Cats?

    Terry Wallace's analysis

"The biggest disappointment was that I expected sparks to fly between them and I was genuinely let down by Hall's acceptance of another bad night. I'm not suggesting this was all his fault, but the big forward is most valuable to his side when throwing his weight around.

Hall, more than most others in the competition, can be the dominant presence on the field, but he hasn't been in his two finals this year.

Sydney's game of slow build-up from half-back did not help Hall's cause. But take nothing away from Scarlett, who was magnificent and continually set up counter-attack opportunities from half-back.

The other aspect of the duel that surprised me was why the Swans continued to play Hall so high up the ground.

He has been winning the ball up on the wings in the past two weeks. If the Swans are to go any further in September, Hall must be kicking goals inside 50."

    ...

With two-and-a-half minutes to go, Ablett took a mark 30m out in front of goal. I remember thinking at the time, "if he kicks this, they are home".

    Same!!

I have got no time for Terry Wallace. The article's headline on the back page is "The four goals Davis should not have been allowed to kick." If I was one of those Geelong defenders who had tried their heart and souls out I would have a poor opinion of that smarmy self opinionated sleaze bag for writing that.

I think you need to understand that the article title is written by a sub-editor, not by the author of the article.

I did think of that but I was being very selfish in wanting to get my opinion of Wallace off my chest.

Then a court injunction to get him playing in the Grand Final? Sounds familiar.
