    Hall happy with his form

    Hall happy with his form
"I am playing my role, I am doing my job and it's is allowing other guys to slip in. If I am not performing Nick Davis pops up or Michael O'Loughlin pops up, so there are no panic stations from my point of view.

"As I said, the only one concerned is you guys, and that is fine with me as I don't have to gain the respect of you blokes, it's my team-mates I am worried about."
It was also Hall's quick handball to a flying ROK before he unloaded a mighty kick to get it to Davis, who marked and goaled.

I dont think he was that bad last week, he had stuff all in the way of oppourtunities and was no worse than many of our players on the night. The week before he had an absolute shocker but I'm not worried, I know he'll bounce back against the saints.

Plus his kick off the ground just after Noggy slapped it along the boundary to keep it in play. The kick sent the ball to the goal square thus playing a vital part in setting up that final goal as well.

well the good thing is that i dont think he can play any worse (well technically he can) and he is due for some ripper form. the man is the ultimate professional and i'm confident he'll be alright this week. its also good that macguire and hudghton will be underdone

imagine if he played blinders against WC and geelong and then did SFA against the sainters and possibly in the GF. we would all be ropeable with this so hopefully he has just saved himself for the final two weeks of the season and will reach his peak at the right time

                Now big, bad bristling

Hall must go hunting for leads

No one condones untoward violence, but Barry must once again use controlled aggression and the intimidation that stems from it. Even if the aggressive act is only implied.

Hall plays at his best if he controls the situation. He needs to once again be the hunter occasionally and then return his mind-set to being a ball player once the damage is done.

In this day and age it is not politically correct to charter a player with intent to damage and hurt the opposition. But this is finals football and if it is done within the rules it could be history in the making.

And let me stipulate that I am not talking about cowardly acts, but legal yet cold-blooded and calculated contact. These are big stakes.
No one condones untoward violence, except for Dermie.

Demott's First Article In A Year - Baz

Again if someone can help me out and go to The Age and post the article.

It's an interesting one. Dermott is not calling on Baz to stand up or anything "motherhood" or insulting like that.

He's more or less saying that if does go back to applying a bit of raw legal aggression and control proceedings, Swans are more likely to be running out onto the middle of the MCG Saturday week!

IMO, we have to go back to the fast/lightening clearances that had us is great form in the last part of the H&A, this will ease most of Baz's woes simply because he'll get more opportunities.

Would have earnt him a couple of Brownlow points on its own in a H&A round IMO. Never mind his inability to mark the ball overhead at the moment - a toe poke of the ground is a true indicator of form...

It was probably a mre significant play than any of the Davis goals.
