Yep - I've always viewed Kirk as the best candidate for the captain, and that was amply demonstrated last night in a number of ways.

he really is the heart and soul of the team in my opinion, you could hear him at the end of the match his interview on 10 he seemed a little bit out of it from the head knock but he just keeps on going. what a leader he is ..
by the way does anyone know the exact quote from one of the channel 10 commentators when thye were showing his speech at 3 quarter time?it was something along the lines of "now thats leadership" ...but it was just a 3 word phrase that summed it all up. inspirationalComment

what about doing something similar to richmond (makes me gag just writing that bit) and giving the captain the #14 guernsey. they said they were saving 14 for someone special - no-one more special than kirky. He was - and is - superb. Bona fide champion.
He did however seem a little less eloquent than he normally is after the game - perhaps the knock did him a little more harm than was immediately apparent.Comment

My choice for Captain. Has displayed all the qualities of a
leader through his courageous play, initiative in bringing the
team together to get the message to them. Inspiring player.
