According to the article Stoneham dobbed himself in, but that's probably just the official line.

Terry Forrest is on the case and he is the bloke who got Tarrant off under the definition of 'in' play under similar circumstances. He's an avid Collingwood supporter I believe but is a high profile lawyer who had his client exonerated in the David Hookes case.
