Penno have got a few recruits, a couple of guns from Riverviews 18s last year. Some decent pick ups on top of Potter that will strengthen them after a few big name losses to the squad.
    - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

Some of those young players from Riverview are good players. Who has pennant hills all picked up from the Riverview Premiership side?

Motorrace who are the big name losses at Pennant Hills? Obviously their captain Howarth will not play this year but who else is missing at this stage?

Anyone know the status of Campbelltown at the moment. Will this o nce proud club be able to get off the bottom the table?

they wont be bottom of table this year.

wooden spoon favourites would have to be Balmain.

that is if they dont spit dummy and not play after losing a few.

They've signed up Glenn Garner as captain-coach this year, and it seems a few former team-mates at St George will be joining him in the blue and white this year.
They'll be competitive, not a team to be taken lightly this year.

From these reports it sounds like a bumper year ahead for Premier Division. Assuming the top four from last year are still competitive ie. Norths, Wests, Penno and UNSW. Joining them is a strong St George and Campbelltown who are reported to have picked up players and than there is ECE with lots to prove. I would assume the Gong can only get better, and that only leaves Balmain who if they pick up will make for a stellar year for the league.

                    Bring it on!

Always good to see people like Humphrey add quality comments to the forum.

As for Campbelltown getting off the bottom of the ladder, I can assure you that we are, and will be working as hard as we possibly can to make sure that we do!

Numbers are good and the players are very keen and looking forward to the challenge ahead.

Just how much will we improve? We will just have to wait and see.

                        Kanga

Given that Round 1 will see you play for your 3rd club in about 6 matches i didnt think you would be that attached to your latest club yet.

Who do you intend to play for in Round 12?

                          Humphrey,

You seem to have a dislike for Campbelltown. Any particular reason for that? Kanga Coach is simply trying to improve the Campbelltown F.C to make sydney footy stronger but you seem to want to make personal attacks on both he and the club. Also are you associated with a particular club?

A little unfair HB but I do like your sense of humour. I appreciate your ability to make light of any topic. The world is too serious.

Does anyone have any reports from the trial games on the weekend, as to how all the teams performed and if there was any standouts, with new recruits.

It'll be interesting. The clubs at the top have all lost a few players this year, and the other clubs can all make good cases for why they're set to go up. Could be the most even and unpredictable season yet - and like you Coastal, I'm really looking forward to it.

As for Kanga Coach, he did have a long stint at St George before moving on mid-season; and surely East Coast would have known when they signed him that he'd be leaving if he could get a coaching gig for 2006.
