Pennant Hills recorded its second win of the year with a 29-point win over Wollongong in a high standard shootout at Dalton Park.
The Demons led by 58 points at three quarter time in the Digital Sports-Fox Footy Sydney AFL Match of the Week, but the gallant Lions refused to go away and kicked seven goals to three in the final term to finally lose 23.8 146 to 18.9 117.
Laine Spencer was the dominant force up forward with 7.3 for Penno, while Justin Barrett kicked four, Shaun Jones three and Alistair and Charlie Richardson, Jason Clarke, Bryce O'Connor and debutant John Moraitus were also good.
Cameron Stanton kicked five for the Gong, Aaron Jackson four and Daniel Crouch three, while Adam McConnochie was outstanding.
Injury worries for both teams, with Nick Potter suffering a posterior cruciate ligament injury in the first 30sec of his Penno comeback and is set to miss at least six weeks, and Seb Parker also hurting a knee, while Nathan Hancock had a dislocated shoulder and James Weavers a knee injury for the Lions.

I reckon Fox Footy will be able to get a very good highlights package together from the Penno-Wollongong game. They may even struggle to squeeze in all the goals there were that many of them. The accuracy in front of goal was amazing - no goalkicking practice for these teams this week.

I was behind the box a few times during the breaks - you were with the ground cameraman I think one time giving "zoom in" tips.

Don't have the exact scores, but Riverview were well short of full-strength during the school holidays and North Shore thrashed them by about 20 goals.
The Manly v Penrith game was postponed.
