For those happy to attack Pekay have a look in you own backyards.
Here's a kid who stayed at a disfunctional club that was falling apart rather than chasing some $ and playing at a higher level which he could easily have done. Has put more time and effort into rebuilding the club from the ground up than most I have met. He certainly knows how to build morale amongst the young blokes and make them feel at home when the have joined his merry band. His focus has always been for promoting the game without the need to resort to name calling.

How many of you have done anything positive to promote the game up here? How many in his situation would have thrown their hands up in the air and said its all too hard?

    Case closed and emphatically won.

Moreso recruiting the old heads that didnt want to push into the one team last yr. All handy players tho, that would've played in both GFs over the last 2 years, but training not exactly their passion!!! So we'll go alright, cant put a prediction on it,as i'm not sure what other clubs have up their sleeve, so its wait and see...Thanks for the kind words also, still trying to figure out where i pumped my tyres up tho,so i can point it out to the boys on here that seem to ride my every word!!Cheers Woodsy

Sydney Footy Has more than Premier League

Just to fill you in, there is amateur divisions below what you play. 1st and 2nd Division Footy is what we play when we're not chasing coin. We're based at Richmond near the RAAF base, and hope to set up am affiliation with ur beloved Eagles-something the committee has to do,altho sharing a beer with Fizza and Merks is something i wont knock back in a hurry!

Ever thought of testing yourself at a higher level and not being a big fish in a little pond?

Could be the best thing you ever do?

You seem like a very petty individual. This guys has won a couple of flags at a club at the age of 25 and all you do is try and bag him. I am sure that at some stage he will coach at a higher level if he continues to develop his skills in that area.

In the meantime he is totally committed to his mates and his club - that should be applauded not denigrated by someone who seems to know very little about football.

how do i do a paragraph?

Monty, i look forward to your nightly show on Comedy Channel. GoEagles, of course i would love to play a higher level, but as Woodsy and Tara have said, my heart lies with the Jets,i've stuck around thru thick and thin, and its starting to pay dividends. Tis was a club formed out of necessity(in 96, Blacktown and Hawkesbury jnrs had nowhere but Baulko to go to, so we formed the Western Jets 18s.Within 4 years we changed the identity of Hawkesbury snr club to Nor-West)and with some great mates, (some of who play Prems-Matt Arbon, Chris Laing to name two)so you see, all my footy life has been about building the club in the Hawkesbury, and overall the North-West corridor. We will have a dedicated FOOTBALL ONLY ground by next year(no turf pitch, making it purely footy)we have plenty of support in the community(it could be said-and has been by new players-that Nor-West are like a country footy club)and we're looking forward to our promotion this year. I'm no world beater on the paddock either, just an honest fullback keeping forwards in check, done it all my life. So you know, i played SFL(Premier Div)reserves at 15 yo at Baulko, that was 11 years ago now, but i have no desire to play Premier Div in Sydney, nothing against the great lot of clubs out there,i have mates from juniors at most clubs, but my real mates-family if you will-are out here at Nor-West, and i wouldnt want it any other way.Coaching, rather than playing, will hopefully one day take me to a higher level, but ya gotta crawl bfore you can walk.

So Woodsy are you the Freckled Ducks Media liason or something??? Surely the guy can talk for himself and doesnt need you to spoon feed us.

Im far from a petty individual - im not bagging him at all. The question was if he would try and apply himself to a higher league in either playing or coaching. Iwould hope that he does try so when he finishes his career he doesnt think 'what if.....

And for the record im pretty sure i would have you covered in the knowledge stake's - dont even go there
