Good tip it seems PHD! I guess there was no joy in the back to baulko day... The result seems to have surprised most on this board if the tips are anything to go by.

A few interesting results this round. That one caught me by surprise.
I was at Henson on Saturday night - I thought that was a brilliant game, with the momentum see-sawing all night and neither team giving an inch; and Campbelltown coming from 13 points down ticking into time-on to snatch a draw.

Can Kanga Coach shed some light what happened with about 3/4 minutes to go in the third quarter - you had a shot at goal on an angle that went through for a point then C'Town got a free in front as Wests were taking the kick out? I missed the umpires decision on that one
      Oh crikey!

what happened was the runner was inside 50 on the kick out and umpire thought that he was ours but was infact wests runner and gave us free kick top of goal square....

How come he paid it at the top of the goal square? Shouldn't it have been awarded at the end of the centre square? Would have thought between 3 umpires they'd get this right. I imagine the Wests boys would have been "politely" telling the umps of their error.

            Penno V East Coast

Good to see Penno end East Coasts regular season dominance. I dont think they have lost a regular season game in 1.5 years. Maybe the boys were getting a little cocky but Penno definitely seems to have the Eagles measure at the moment. There were a few comments that Penno only won the grand final because of the rain last year. I guess the weekends result add a little more to this arguement....

The Penno vs ECE games was great to watch! One of those performances from the Demons that had no real stars, there were very good contributors all over the ground. Alex Goodall was superb, along with JB & McAmey. Partiuclarly entertaining seeing the 9 (yes that's right, 9) coaches/officials that felt it necessary to sit on top of the sheds to watch the game cop a pasting from the Demons crowd. You can have all the coaches you like East Coast, but if your blokes don't perform you'll look pretty stupid with all your officialdom.

Thats a problem for ece. Must not have much face with the coach if 8 assistants required. Especially when you look at the calibre of some them- haha

Correct, and unfortunately all too common with this type of free which rarely gets paid and therefore gets screwed up............. unless the umps have added a 50m for the polite telling that you have referred to of course. Nonetheless, tough call in a low scoring game.

No-one as they can't fit into the media room.

P.S. I wonder if the ern & mr.phd would front the coach of ECE with there imply?
