I'm am going to agree with Shearer on this one. Is seems that the "tall poppy syndrome" is alive and well on RWO. The same masked assasins are out and about to crititise everyclub that attempt to succeed.

Maybe you should try to get the points for Sundays game on the basis that it isn't fair for one side to be so much better than another. I mean seriously, did they even offer you a head start? Not to mention how unco-operative their backline was. I mean it was one of your midfielders who had to kick the goals for you.

Shame on St.George. Shame, shame, shame..........................
It's amuseing to think that you blokes believe you made us look second rate. If you're that happy with your performance it gets me excited when thinking about meeting you again. At the end of the day you only need to be beaten once and that's the one that counts. Having a midfielder kick goals, what's wrong with that? It's funny you let him work that far deep into our forward line with no-body on him or have a defender that couldn't stop a midfielder kicking four. You would think you would learn after the first couple, wouldn't you? For mine they all look the same on the scoreboard anyway.

Shearer, i have been playing against St George for the last 12 years and have not once thought ill of your club. In fact they are the 1 club in the comp that i can honestly say i have no issues with (aside from losing finals to them). What your administration did in getting the 4 points back is exactly what i would hope any club would do, protect your clubs best interests. I have no doubt whatsoever that it is tall-poppy syndrome on here like it was last year with ECE. And like ECE, i look forward to seeing you CHOKE against Penno in the GF come September

I Didn't say anything specific about St. George's performance key forward. Just knocked yours. They are much better than you though. I am also impressed with the performance of Webb. No argument there. I'ts lucky he was there because the point I was making is that your forward line sucks (and apparently you are the key to it?). You are right on one thing though, it is only one game in the end that gives bragging rights in a whole season, personally I couldnt give a damn who gets those rights. As long as it's not your crew.

Just wondering if Rooboy, Shearer or Tyler Durden (even though he doesn't belong to the St George FC [his words]) can offer any information regarding the St George player that started this whole sorry affair. My mail has it that the league is furious with the result and are going to make sure the player in question has to answer some pretty serious questions regarding his statements at the tribunal. Word comming out of the big top is that their will be another hearing to sort out whether infact he was available for the Rep weekend or not and whether he used this to lesson his penalty. Please boys shed some light to fill us all in!!

Bryan you seem to know more than most, certainly more than i do anyway. As with all things to do with the league i will let the club & the league sort it out.

As for the C/Town vs Saints game on the weekend, can best be described as dour. Webby took mark of the year though.

Might shut up a few morons on here who used this as an excuse to have a crack at the club when they had no FACTS.

The sinking ship, as you called it key Forward, is still sailing on.
Good luck to St Geroge on getting their four points back. They thought it was unfair to lose them, so they fought the decision and won. Well done on your arguement.

From an outsider looking in and having only gossip to work with, I thought they would struggle to get them back. Again it shows what a shamble Sydney AFL is in. The offending player gets selected to try out for the rep side only to pull the pin due to other commitments. Then enters the boxing ring of Monarch and repeatedly punches a player and receives only three weeks where abusive language towards umpires has received between 4 to 6 week. I know what pain I would rather receive and it's not a punch to the head. A win there as he still gets to play after only missing two games. St George obviously have a great QC with a quick tongue to keep whitling away there punishment. Shearer can you give out his no. to the other clubs to make Sydney AFL admin. look even more spineless.

As for the tall poppy Syndrome, yes it is there. I just don't think St George help themselves. Upto this year St George would be everyones 2nd favourite team. A family orientated club who pitch in to help the club survive. This year though, you have a good coach, your on top, but he doesn't lead from the front with his antics. Pacing up and down the sideline with expletives left right and centre abusing any one who dares to barrack loudly and proudly against the St machine. He is closely followed by a plethora of so called assistants. As a spectator it is their antics which I believe are the main reasons why the league have turned on the Crows not so much because they are on top. Have you had any beers with the opposition this year?

I think Rooboy's comments this year on RWO is the reason for the despising of St George this year rather than merely putting it down to "tall poppy syndrome" ... nobody really bagged them til his colours were revealed ...

Rafters, i personally dont think Rooboy is from St George. It was like Ash last year saying he was from Penno.

If you are from Saints Rooboy, were is this years footy trip?

Sydney AFL website says Daniel Lowry received a 4 week suspension last night for being in contempt of the tribunal (ie. presumably for lying about his eligibility for the rep game). Tough justice or feather duster?

I suppose your interest in the Big Top would help with these insights. I'll be contacting you later in the season to see who will win the Phelan as well.

                              Lowry Out!

It seems I was right on the money with the Lowrygate affair. It was very hard to spell it out on this site without someone getting their nose out of joint. It seems the penalty fitted his initial crime. It at least sends out a message to other players regarding their evidence at tribunal hearings. Can anyone tell me was the ex St George president residing over this case as he was in the initial trial?
