troy swhartze from st kilda coached club in victoria called sorrento this year and was paid nice sum of 90,000 for the season plus allowences
1. A SIX FIGURE SUM? That's a bit pricey for a local team to be paying an "ex"-junkie isn't it? Do many guys who play in the state leagues get six figure salaries? If not, it doesn't seem fair, does it?
2. Are they serious???
3. I'm glad that VFL and WAFL are a bit hesitant.Comment

I thought a few years ago that some of the ACTAFL teams had yearly player payments of $200K-$300K and paid good fulltime coach/managers about $100K. Is there any truth in this????Comment

Based on the amount of players that get poached out of the Ovens and Murray league when they're getting good money there - I'd say it would be a pretty fair bet CB."It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.

Top clubs are paying $150-200K per year in match payments plus coaching payments on top. Belconnen has ex Geelong AFL Footy Manager Garry Davidson down with them at the moment. He wouldn't come cheap.
The funds are definitely there. Might help some of the stronger clubs get within a bee's dick of the Swans as well...Comment
