Do we know how the under-18s are going to line up next season? I would guess that UNSW-ES would go up to Premier Cup and Riverview drop back to Challenge Cup. Hopefully Balmain will be able to field an under-18s team next year - any word yet from Dockerland about that?[/QUOTE]

Balmain will have an 18s this year, ]coached by Glenn "Chook" Fowler.

Glad the docker are able to field a team again this year. Maybe the players come from North Shore who are dropping an under18 team. Nothing to do with numbers. It seems they are lousy with U18 players, but don't want to have two teams. They are going to offload players to Manly. Seems a real pity

Pity about excess north shore 18s players having to go back to a lower division.

I'm told the bulk of Balmain's squad will come from Glebe and north Ryde juniors but that they are looking for additional players.

Apparently the dockers have brought back Simon Kelly as junior development manager - one of the better guys from Balmain in the 80s and 90s.

It would seem strange then, that they're not in Div 3, considering there is still room there (a bye).
