Look dissapointing loss by the Dockers but I can assure everyone that the game was alot closer than the score board suggests

Yep that 5 goal to zero first quarter must of been unlucky, same with 10 goals to 2 at half time.

Face it, if you keep throwing silly money at fringe first graders from other clubs and average sfa players you arent going to improve. How long before your 18's fold?

can i just say yes dockers did get beaten in firsts but looking at the seconds game and depth it must be a worry. The score in the main game may be in campbelltowns favor but when your seconds get belted like that then i would hate to have few injuries soon . balmain will get better its round one. in 6 weeks time if still same results then pace to burn can say what he likes but until then wait and see...

Cheesecake, first of all I would never lower myself to play under Hally, I don?t think he would be able to teach me much. Now I understand that you are supportive of the Dockers and I respect that. I do however suggest that you read back over your notes before you post them. Your comments that Hally has got the runs on the board is extremely flawed. In the previous two years he has coached them, the Dockers have finished 10th/10 teams (2007) and 8th/10 teams (2008) and currently sits 10th/10 teams in 2009. Now I am not sure what you classify as runs on the board, but I would seriously question whether his record is that impressive. The only thing that would be impressive about those figures is if Hally was competing in the Diving at the Olympics. 10/10, 8/10 and 10/10 would almost guarantee him a spot on the podium! Runs on the board is definitely not the right phrase to use to reflect Hallys coaching career. I do however hope that your comments regarding Hally and being a sideline coach boosting his performance come to fruition. I also caught your game on the weekend and yes the scoreboard did reflect the game!
No ones denying the past ok. And 2007 is a longtime ago. Last year, yes, I think it was an excellent improvement. And to finish the way we did with the amount of injuries and what not last year was surpurb. People seem to enjoy writing us off but forget we belted the reigning premiers North Shore last time around. Obviously we didn't finish on the ladder where our list and talents would expected to be but we've taken that into this year.

What a shame you don't wear your heart on your sleeve like Hally does. You'd much prefer to bag him than actually contribute to anything

(oh as for the runs on the board, it includes not only the last years good form from the Dockers but also his coaching efforts with St George)

As the season proper has started and the thread has gone way off topic, I am going to close it.
