Just out of curiousity - what was the theme song sung at the end of the game when we won?????

Doubt it mate, not to many computer literate blokes who can afford an internet connection amongst our guys

Looking good in both grades Pekay, do you think you're a show?

You are probably right, but it seems he has stopped carrying on after i posted that.
We will put a big show in mate, our seniors have clicked over the last month, we have the Dogs measure, our fitness is incredible at the moment. We destroyed Moorebank on saturday, who were no mugs at all, they are a very strong team, and we had a few out, as they did as well, but our running game coming into the last few rounds will be the difference. We're missing our ful forward, out for a month now, and he's still 3rd on the goals, so will be handy to get him back in mid august. I can't even push in yet (coz i'm hopeless!)
And our twos, just getting better, had 15 first choice blokes out on saturday, and two blokes played their first games on the weekend, both local juniors, Brad Cross, who was named Player Of Carnival in the National 18s a few years back, he's struggled with injuries the last few years but carved up in his return, and Mark Hibbins, who played a bit with St Marys and Wanderers in the NTFL recently while posted to Darwin. Got about 6 more to come back in this week, and killing it for us is a former Sturt player who is involved with polo down the road, so he's loving the club. We'll get all players and team balance right by mid august, and hope the stars align, but the twos may have to go through the long way (if they make finals at all, its a log jam from 2nd to 5th) but i am very confident in both grades on big grounds of BPR & BOP for finals.
And it looks like we'll be flying the flag for non-uni teams in Div 3 and 4, so hoping for some support from the likes of Penrith, Moorebank, Parra etc!!!
And a great result for your magoos on saturday, and the ones as well, i noticed not many backed up from 2s, very encouraging!

(and i haven't revealed any secrets in my posts above, take from it what you will!)

I checked with all the Penrith players and supporters and both of them denied being or knowing Doormat.
My tips have been OK lately. Even tipped all and sundry two weeks ago that Penno would knock off the comp leaders, Power in the Challenge Cup. Pity Betfair doesn't operate on these events. And as soon as Penno forfeited against Penrith in the 18's on Saturday, UTS were always going to get done by the Rams in Div 4. I know it's easy to post after the event, so I have another tip for this week. If Manly 18's forfeit against Penrith this week in the 18's, the Wolves season in Div 4 is over.

Geez never before I have seen anyone care so much about the lowest bottom teams. Too much analysis for what is essentially park footy. There are no tactics or game plans. Just one-on-one kick it long and hope the best thug wins the contest.

I wouldn't be bad-mouthing the "lower" division clubs Cheese Cake. There's just as much pride in those jumpers as there is in any Premier Division club.
And if Pekay's analysis ends up winning his team the flag, they'll be taking on your club's reserves next year.

Norris Norwest will smash Balmain off the paddock next year if they keep all their players together - thats if Balmain have a team on the paddock.

I suspect you're right Tara. Which makes Cheese Cake's lack of respect for the "lower" divisions rather surprising.

Look in all honesty I dont care if everyone wants to bag Balmain. At least the club is having a crack in the big league , Im not going to make excuses for results.

Its easy to sit back and brag about having a crack when essentially your best 22 are playing against another clubs 3rd or even 4th best 22. Its easy hey.

Well the worst thing the Sydney AFL ever did was make the structural changes. It strikes a knife right through a club when their 1st and 2nds are playing a different venues every second week. And for what? To prop up lower div clubs who may not be able to match it with the prem div but seem happy and content to smash the reserves of a premier div club and then feel the need to carry on and brag about it like they are some @@@@ hot club playing the second string sides?

Step up. If clubs want to challenge apply for Premier Dviision. Keep the old 1st div so all the westy clubs can play each other. At least the comp is fair cause your best 22 are playing the other teams best 22. Not suffering from some delussions of granduer.

Heres a heads up mate - you had two choices - current stucture or play in division 1.

Also your happy to get on here and bag lower division clubs so what do you expect. As for "Westy" clubs I have witnessed your clubs behaviour over the last twenty years and as far as I can recall is the only club in Sydney to have a player banned for life during this period for an onfield incident involving an opposition player as opposed to the normal life bans handed out for offences against an umpire.

This would make cheesecake cry but i heard a rumour on the weekend that there has been a club registered in the name of 'Wests Dockers'. anyone know if there is any truth in this supposed joint venture?

Sounds very encouraging, just goes to show how cyclical these things are. Doubtless if you had a similar list to choose from over the last couple of years you would have been pretty competitive in the old Div 1.

As SHH alluded to in a previous post, we were fortunate to have about 10 of our 18's play Div 4 on Saturday due to a forfeit which obviously made a big difference, and meant that guys didn't have to back up.

We had a few of our best players out which meant the difference between winning and losing in Div 3, but I guess all clubs face that at this time of year.

And Cheese Cake, ease up mate, people in the "lower divisions" put in as much time and effort running their clubs as you blokes, and to insinuate that everyone who plays down there is a thug with no ability is pretty ordinary.
