Thanks Student for the compliment but if you count overweight glass wearing slightly balding accountants as handsome you really need to lift your standards.

My comments were based on experience - no other club handed us hidings like the jets did - it was embarassing - whehter they managed to field unusually strong teams against us that gave off a distorded indication of their abilities I will never know.

Our first four games we never had anywhere near the side Id hoped to get on the paddock but that ended up being the story for our season - At the end of the day we managed to put three sides on the paddock every week no matter how hard it was and how much stress was involved - Three years ago we averaged 10-13 players to training so from my perspective we have come along was and whilst I dont count our season in seniors as a success(we went backwards) I certainly do from a club perspective.

    Congratulations on your win though.

Time for a group hug methinks. Also, stop putting yourself down, Tara, I'm sure you're a wonderful catch, but with an attitude like that, you'll never get anywhere.

Congratulations to East Coast in Div 1 on their wonde4rful win to make the GF.
I would assume that the Premier Div players who were dropped to the seconds wont be getting promoted back to firsts next week.....and well done to the 18's promoted after their finals exit to ensure our very caring Nor-West friends have a good representation on GF day.

          Which players would those be?
No players were dropped from Prem Div to Div One from the semis to prelims. And of today's side, 10 have played Prem Div throughout the season (three of those last played Prem Div in round 18, others last played Prem Div before that) for a total of 34 games (avg. 3.4 Prem Div games each). Next.

Sorry Pekay, no reference to the Jets. Meant to say the head honcho's of the alliance.

And I apologise if I got some facts wrong. I heard on Saturday that a few ECE players were aggrieved at not getting a run after playing aqll year in Div 1 at the expense of others. Guess the Div 1 coach is pretty happy that their
              18's made anh early exit.
Just noticed that 5 of their team had averaged 3 games each in that grade. Gotta work the system, eh

ShortHalfHead, I do not understand how promoting under 18s is working the system. Surely playing under 18 players in Reserve Grade finals is better for their development and that of the club. It appears that a lot of people love to go off half cocked about stacking of sides and forget to include facts in their observations.

OK, thats fine...as long as the 5 players dropped from the side that have played there all year are happy.

the five players that got dropped don't have to be happy. If I was coach and a player that I dropped for a prelim was happy, I'd question his commitment. I'd expect them all to be filthy at missing out on a spot. But I guaruntee to a man they will all be at training this week working their slot out to get their spot back. And you never know, playing against UTS as opposed to Syd Uni might mean that some different players get a spot based on body size. no need to start sniping SHH, obviously a chip on your shoulder...
