the list of players that came from SFL to the AFL is the one that is particularly interesting to me.

pretty confident that the majority going from Sydney to AFL come from Penno, North Shore St George, in that order. good junior reserves

when they come back the other way they go back through north shore, wests, East Sydney and Balmain in that order. mainly because of location,

Did Barry Breen ever play at North Shore? I know he coached them for a while in the 1980s but I don't know if he played.
I seem to recall reading somewhere that Phil Manassa, who did an amazing run with about 5 bounces before shooting truly in the 1977 grand final, had a stint with East Sydney.
