Most bag Balmain for the dollars spent BUT ECE have gone Mad with match payments $$. They have paid for Dugmore @ $450/game + a job, Jamie Vlatko @ $1000/game + a job (he will be the best footballer in the comp but a 1000/game), the full back from Southport "Charlston"?@ $350/game + a job, ex assistant coach @ $400/game, they threw the kitchen sink at Power @ offered $500/game & will pick up Jarjoura mid season for plenty.
Word on the street is that old man Jarjoura is back in the good books & is pushing for the 18's gig as he is not happy how the current coach has abandon the kids in the Hills.
Easts on the other hand have picked up several new VAFA/Country recruits for nothing.
Old man Jarjoura has applied for the U18 Coaching role, with a view to taking the senior role before the season is out. Currently the board is deciding whether to approve his match budget of $1000 per win and $500 per loss for the U18s, to be doubled if he takes the senior role. We are also in talks with Club Legend, Scott Abercrombie, to see whether he can pull the boots out of retirement, and play in the pivot for us. I'm quietly optimistic.
I hope that clears things up for everyone.Comment

These figures are completely false, it frustrates me when people pick figures out of their head and everyone else thinks it's gospel. Let me set the record straight. Jon Vlatko is on a sliding scale. After he captained a premiership his 50k bonus was paid and his weekly payments doubled to $4500. Dugmore has come on board, but is only getting the standard $50 per game. His sign on fee of $30k was added to his salary by his employer, making a total of $330k. Jamie Vlatko is getting a job, car, girlfriend, helicopter and $2.5k per game (the job, car and girlfriend are one-offs, only the helicopter and $2.5k are per game items), Charleston from Southport is correctly reported. He is receiving $350 per game, and we are putting a statue of him infront of the ground. We did throw the kitchen sink at Power, unfortunately Luke is still contracted in QLD. We will also be flying Ryan Smyth in for at least 6 games that we think are winnable (sound familiar?), putting him up in a fancy hotel, hiring a car for the weekend for him and paying him an away from home allowance, I believe it will be around $400 per weekend.

Thanks Goanna.
To answer your original question.
We at manly dont pay players, the new influx of players is from & huge amount of players who left last year to play premier division they where treated like rock stars & paid quite handsomely. You know just like you do at ECEThe only thing is all are on there way back again. they have had there fingers burnt the same way you burn & churn players in the Hills
BTW noticed more Riff players on the way to you again. Are they in your zone????????????

PK PK PK.
You fool he states that Dug more, Charleston, Vlatko & ex coach are playing in 2010.
So l will type really slow for you OK?
lets go through each one
1-Dugmore proven goal-kicker, excellent player & was one of the highest paid players at ST.G. rumour was he was on 400/game & more than likely would get easily a min $300-350/game at any club. remember proven goal kicker not like you peanut)
2- Charleston was previously on $350/game went away & become the best back man in the league in the QAFL state league. Why would he come back for anything less???
3- Here is the kicker (that means the cherry on top PK)Vlatko kicked in 07 80+ goals from CHF in the best league outside the AFL. In 09 he kicked 50+.
Why would he come over here WHEN any club in Australia would easily pay $700+/game for a footballer in his prime & is proven. he only needs to look at the EDFL. Why l hear you say because ECE are paying him more than that peanut & with a job thrown in.
4- The best out of all them is the ex coach who's name l cant get.
He is the Greg Williams of SAFL. Again if garner can play this guy will eat all opposition up. BTW he is on $300/game.
Hope that helps
