Keep in mind that he has come back to Sydney to take up a coaching gig with the Swans Academy (that he's been waiting on for a while) and by now is a parent who has the rest of the family back in Sydney. I don't doubt he's done something silly, he wouldn't be Nicky D if he didn't, and he had been planning on lacing them up with a suburban team down there; but I'm not sure any foolishness down there would be the actual reason for him to move back.
