    Round 3 Post-Match Analysis & Discussion

Just got home from Blacktown, where the first boilover of the season took place. Sydney Uni spoiled East Coast's 10th birthday bash with a 7-point win.
Sydney Uni had come to play and created so many chances. Blew a lot of them early in the third quarter, and East Coast got out to a 3-goal lead; but eventually weight of possession saw Sydney Uni finally put on some scoreboard pressure and hit the front late in the quarter.
And the Students did well to hold East Coast out in the last quarter. They had a bit of luck when Kristian Pearson had a goal disallowed, but they defended well in a low-scoring final term. There'll be more details later, plus some pics, when the weekly RWO report comes online after the weekend's matches have all been played.

Anyway, as the results come in, there's sure to be plenty of talking points. Who's doing well? Who isn't? Any big moments?

How many folks were there to watch it, Norris?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Norths v Saints was an amazing game for 1st quarter only. Thirteen goals kicked but after half time Norths ran away with it. Far too good but again some better signs from St George until it got away. Young Addison at FF towelled up his opponent to kick 7 (should have been more). Interesting to see the Norths blokes showing some aggression even if it was limited to their 17 and 18 yo opponents, nice one fellas.

Better team in all aspects on the day.

Terrible injury to Cuthbo of St George with a badly broken ankle/leg with it being bent back under his leg. Wish him the best

Apologies for the delay - we had technical issues over the long weekend - but this week's RedAndWhiteOnline wrap of the weekend's action is now online. Featuring pics and a match review from Blacktown Olympic Park, where Sydney Uni spoiled East Coast's birthday bash.
