Have a cry???
wasnt a complete bagging, we dont know who has been bought for next season, making the finals for sure we heard that this year by your supporters.
Balmain were merely mentioned due to another inner city team coming in, 18's has been a problem for them too. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to say over the last 3 or so years the club has been going that well, this season was a improvement largely due to ex AFL players coming in, will all be signed up next season???

Should a club (or two) try and go alone in a Nothern Conference comp in 2012, would that leave a space (or two) open and up for grabs?Comment

What is going to happen to Balmain when the money runs out ??
I was speaking to a Balmain person at the lower division finals and I asked him about the demise of
their Under 18's. He told me that "we could not compete with Sydney Uni who were paying their
under 18's upwards of $60 per game".September 24th, 2005 5.14pm

It's a big unknown. I can't see how the Northern Conference league idea could ever be viable, but it's a rumour that isn't going away this time.

Can't confirm your story, but I will give it the mirror treatment (I will look into it)
As for 2+2 - a doctor, a solicitor and an accountant are before a magistrate.
The judge asks the doctor "hey doc what does 2+2 equal" - the doctor replies - "your worship I think
its 4 but I 'll get a second opinion
The judge then asks the Solicitor " alright legal eagle now its your turn - whats 2+2" - The reply from
the solicitor is "in most cases its 4, but I check it out in the legislation Act of Mathematics"
Frustrated the judge turns to the accountant and says "surely you must know what 2+2 is"
The accountant pulls across the curtains, closes the door and turns off the lights and replies
"Your worship, what would you like it to be !"Last edited by Roscoe; 28 September 2010, 03:16 PM.September 24th, 2005 5.14pm

Roscoe - I'll take the bait - if your "Balmain person" exists he or his sources are spreading untruths for some reason.... No Colts have been incentivised with any $ ever, that's a fact. Also another fact, Balmain has had "their pathway" all to themselves in 2009 and 2010 and long before so whilst it might be convenient to look at another club's program for excuses, it would be just that, an excuse, if anyone was truly peddling that line from the club, which I doubt. I'm sure Balmain will be just fine at all levels when they can get some momentum going with a bit of success on the field and continuity off it. I wish them all the best.

I agree jupiter - I doubt SU are paying their 18's. Sure they have copped heaps of flack on RWO
for "poaching" and the promise of Collingwood scholarships and education scholarships etc etc
blah, blah, but paying their 18's ?? - don't think soSeptember 24th, 2005 5.14pm
