Early days of course but there seems to be a mass exodus from Parramatta. You'd have to question their ability to field three senior teams if this continues.....

          You'd think so.

As it was their 2's and 3's were pretty uncompetitive last year, so they're probably better off with just the two.

That's the coup of the season for mine so far. Wonder how teams will play him in Div 2. Double team him and he'll still probably win out, triple up on him and the other guys run riot. Will be really interesting to see how he goes at that level, can't see doing anything but carve it up really.....
Mac Uni are in Div 1, so it may not be quite so lopsided; but you'd think he'd still be a dominant force. Quite a coup by Mac Uni to get him.

Well I thought I would have a quick say on here as I am sure there are a few that think they might know why I went back to Balmain. Firstly money had absolutely nothing to do with it, i am way to old to expect money!! I always had in my mind that I wouldn't mind going back to Balmain to finish where I started, there are a lot of mates still at the club and the appeal to play with a few former team mates and ex AFL players was a big factor. Going to Balmain was never a hard choice, leaving the Bulldogs was. I had 6 great years there and formed some good friendships and the decision weighed on me for months, it truly was the hardest football decision I have ever had to make. I wish nothing but the best for the Dogs and know that I will still keep the friendships made. I am looking forward to a new challenge and have also been given roles off the field to help with the choice to go there. They have a good list and Foz is doing a good job there. The culture certainly has changed and I am looking forward to being a part of it.

Good on ya Luffy. You just keep running around pal.
I hope you play for another 10 years!!!

You might see me out there watching this year guys (provided it doesn't clash and all) - one of my nephews is a grommit over at Mac Uni.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Mac Uni seem very active in the recruitment zone, close to 50 registrations!
Massive numbers and a number from Penno which is interesting as their ex-coach has moved there. Could be a decent years for them if this anything to go by....

Pretty quiet on the clearences at Penno and St George. Maybe Big Kev and Doormat and keeping things till the last minute or is there another load of good kids rolling in??

15 out and only 3 in for Penno.... Early days of course but it wouldn't be the first time "Big Kev" had inspired an exodus. He has quite a track record in terms of being a divisive influence around footy clubs.....

Will be interesting to see how UTS fair in the Prem. Not much recruiting done, although they always have a healthy playing list.
Key stragegy #8 in their strategic plan: "No player payments". Will be hard to push the top teams with this in place, especially if their brightest get noticed by other clubs in the of season.

I saw that strtegic plan, and noticed that line myself. Perhaps they'll find their feet in the top flight for the 1st few years and bank their pennies for down the track. Maybe that's Wollongong's plan too!

Also saw they are hoping to play on Waverley Oval, now that would be great for footy.

                            Waverley oval??

Agree would be great for footy

would have to be one of the "narrowest " grounds in Sydney

No playing wide to the flanks there

                            Straight down the guts

My son played cricket for easts a few years back and at training

he bowled a few deliveries to Dave Warner and got hit out of the ground

Although disappointed he felt better when he saw Warner put Tait past the Richardson gates in Adelaide

How are the renovations going down at Bondi - been a few years now

Waverley would suit their style of play for the last few years.

Wonder if opposing teams would be allowed to sing their victory song on the ground there?

Hahaha, I still laugh when I think of Thainy bailing me up, 'You can't do that". Pretty sure we just did, deal with it, we've been beaten like poor kids for years on that deck.
