This week's RWO Wrap of the weekend's action is now online. Special thanks to RWO poster Triple B for the pics of the Foxtel Cup game, when East Coast had the experience of taking on Port Adelaide.

Would like to see Albury Tigers get a gig next year, perhaps room for both a Sydney and O & M team in.

Oops! Thanks Boss Hogg, have amended. Been typing their names in previous weeks, Edwins has been round Sydney footy for years. Don't know what happened there.

I've not seen the O&M league, but I hear they're the best country league.

This year the Foxtel Cup has two teams from AFL Queensland, one from the ACTAFL, East Coast and GWS.
GWS won't be in it next year, and I guess some of those spots in the Foxtel Cup will go to the teams that do well in the NEAFL. But, even if and when a couple of Sydney clubs go into the NEAFL, I hope there's still room in the Foxtel Cup for the Sydney AFL premiers.

So when ECE and SU go into the NEAFL, and if one of them win Syd Premier, will they still qualify for Foxtel Cup? That's assuming one of them win this year and that's not a certainty with the way Balmain are playing.

No one really knows about qualification for next year. The cup is new and in a bit of a trial phase until they figure out the balance from the state leagues. I find it interesting with 1 match to go in the first round that so far two teams from the VFL, SANFL and WAFL have qualified and one team from the QAFL. If Labrador beat West Adelaide I'd say that's a pretty good balance.

About the only thing I think is certain for next year is that the Foxtel Cup Winners will be invited back to defend their crown along with the premiers of the SANFL, WAFL, VFL and QAFL (NEAFL Northern Div). If an Eastern Conference team wins the NEAFL, they'll get invited too. I think the rest is up for grabs, considering the Sydney AFL and Canberra premiers got monstered by SANFL teams that only qualified as the best in the SANFL declined, and Clarence (TFL premiers) were destroyed by WAFL runners-up Claremont.
