Re Div 5 games. I believe that a few changes are in order. Manly pulled their Div 5 team and were replaced by UTS. Auburn then withdrew from Div 5 making it a 9 team comp.

Website not updated as yet, but will probably see Sydney Uni play UTS and Uni NSW have the bye.

    I think.

Good luck to all teams for round 1 (except the ones playing Penrith). Hopefully the "fine weather gods" are working hard.

It's a big day for the Nor-West Jets this week, with Peter 'Pekay' Kyle to play his 100th match for the club on Saturday.
I'm sure everyone will join with me in congratulating him on an achievement that looked like it would never occur on that fateful second semi final day in 2009. Two years is a long time to wait, and everyone is champing at the bit to see Pekay finally run out again.

It is also the return of our under 18s team for the first time since 2004, a sure sign that the club is on the right track. Best of luck to all the boys as they build a future for the Jets.

Hear that Campbelltown have forfeited in the U/18's, not a great start.

Especially given their results last year and the fact that the 16's down that way have been very strong of recent times.

Not a good start for the young blues. Hopefully they are able to find a few more over the next couple of weeks in time for round 2. There were a large number of Under 18 teams who were unable to field full squads. Is this a sign that we have spread our numbers too thin in this grade across the clubs? I know teams are able to play 16 a side if they don't have enough but will we see more forfeits during the year as you get a few injuries and a few get promoted to higher grades etc?
