I have wondered about whether Jason Saddington might get the gig...just me wondering though !
He is experienced in 'big occasions', is well connected in Sydney/NSW footy, has some involvement in coaching in NSW and I think he's already employed by Sydney Uni as some sort of elite coach.
The problem faced by both Syd Uni and the Eagles is that there aren't many qualified coaches in NSW and neither club is going to be able to jazz up a package sufficient to attract someone from outside. So it seems that both clubs will have to try to woo someone who is already here. And that's a mighty small pool with not many fish in it. Remember that both Uni and the Eagles brought their own qualified coaches with them when they went into the NEAFL, and neither coach has survived into NEAFL year2.
No wonder that neither club has been able to announce their 2013 coaching team yet !

Do tell more Pekay. This idea was around a few weeks ago but I haven't heard anything credible.
But now you have named names - is this a done deal ?
I suppose that, having locked in a coach, a club gives him a chance to get his assistants sorted, and maybe a star recruit or two, before they go public with the package....perhaps this is why we haven't heard anything from Baulko themselves.
I'm no authority on the club, but it looks from an outsider's standpoint that they are a professional club with some smart people involved - probably not too cashed up at this stage but I reckon they would have plenty that would appeal to a keen young potential coach

Pekay is a reliable source so would say he must be on the money

Manly promoted to Premier Division, rounding it out nicely to 12 teams.

Congratulations Wolves. Fully deserved and overdue. Hopefully they do well.

That's a massive call by the Sydney AFL.
I haven't been to Weldon for a while, but they've spent a fair bit of money on it; so hopefully it's a better ground now. On the field, based on 2012 results, they'd struggle against the top six teams, but they may get a few wins against some of the others.

Certainly getting rid of the bye in Premier Division is a good thing. Don't know what it means for the other divisions. Maybe 10 teams in Div 1.

                      .
Its better buy still pretty ordinary - also no fence around the ground - hopefully that will change but from what I hear the council wont allow it. Grounds without proper fencing should be allowed into PD comp considering some supporters cant help themselves.

Congratulations, hopefully Southern Power will be the next cab off the rank in the next couple of season if the results justify and they
relocate to Waratah (home of Miranda Juniors)

I wonder if a few players from Norths/Penno etc may turn out in Maroon and White next season

Yes, Pekay might be a reliable source.....but his question mark (?) at the end of his posting makes you wonder........

Not sure about Sutho but about time with Manly. They're not my favourite club but they definitely have the geographic spread and mongrel to be a long term SFL member (after a few pummelling I hope) It's well overdue IMO.

Reckon Norths will suffer but not Penno. Long term though Norths (and the Unis) should be a huge beneficiary of the AFL finally getting into the GPS/CAS system so they don't have any long term issues.

North Shore and Manly have the same pathway group - all the other groups have one Premier Division club and a couple of other clubs. It'll be interesting to see what happens to the players that both clubs have put on their pathway lists.
